Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Great pic! Looks like maybe it passed a bad enchilada just before you got there. It has a look of embarrassment on its face, but no need to be embarrassed. Hopefully it passed that beast in peace...

Re: Topcat rere w/ sidewinder
I had to google where Energy Illinois was...I’d never heard of it. LOL
Looks like we’re going to tighten the belt and give it a go.

Re: MRP FAST CAT
If it was easy, anyone could do it. At least this toy has an internal combustion engine. I think that lessens the baby's toy effect.

Re: My racing days Hotshot replica hopefully
But what will it be like to drive 36 years later ? Could well be horrible to drive but my memory suggests it went in a straight line at speed and turned in tight corners really well , when I first had the Hotshot my mate Brent had a Progress with 4ws and 4wd and it sounded great but he found it woul...

Re: Old School A Stamp/6 gear resto
It looks to be in better shape than most of the junk that I buy. I think that I mostly find old dirt oval cars that were driven by blind people, who never serviced anything. Are those the same blind people that are drilling out the chassis of the ones I buy? This is great, so glad to be follo...

Re: Old School A Stamp/6 gear resto
Thanks! Yes its decent...shocks rough but i found new bodies/caps in my stash. The sway bar and 240s sealed the deal for me. Gonna restore that chassis but heading in a different direction, always wanted a trailing arm car so we'll see where it goes I have been eyeing the Factory Works kits myself....

Re: Old Optima and Ultima mods?
Bill, like the others said, I wouldn't recommend NiMH batteries either, if you're going this far into a resto-mod...buh-bye NiMH's! To explain why...NiMH batteries start losing their charge the moment you take them off the charger. Just leaving it sit for a few weeks will drain some or all of it. I ...

Re: Kyosho Salute resto
Nice! I always loved the early Optimas. I saved all my money back then to buy a Turbo Optima and was really amazed how well it soaked up the bumps and ripping around with the 240s with the 9 tooth pinion! It was like the "turbo" kicked in when the 240s hit its power band! Good memories. Gr...
