Re: Disable Ignition

The very best is the original service manual which is printed by helms. They have the best detail and troubleshooting guides, but obviously are pricey. Worth the the money though for tough issues. You might be able to find the manuals as CDs or downloads cheaper. What are you looking for information...

Re: Disable Ignition

Try to join a forum dedicated to your particular vehicle. You'll get tons of the most relevant advice, specific to your vehicle. If you're lucky, they will have links to download those expensive OEM service and parts manuals. I'm on a forum dedicated to each car I own and you won't get any better in...

Re: Shocks

Bilstiens probably impressed me the most for ride quality and control. This. I had Bilsteins on my last truck. When it comes time to replace the shocks on my current truck, that is likely what it'll be. For a little less money, I like KYB as well. Stay away from Rancho for a daily driver. They make...

Re: Shocks

I don't think you will go wrong with Bilsteins or Gabriels or Delco ones. Rock Auto lists like 900 shocks for that chassis but there are some ac Delco ones that are in the same price range as the Gabriel's, Bilsteins are always more expensive.

Re: Shocks

From experience on my vehicles, Bilstein will give you the better ride and quality without a doubt over KYB or Gabriel. The first time I used Bilstein shocks, I'd never spend another dollar on KYB or Gabriel ever again for my own vehicles. The cost is a little more, but they're well worth it. And I ...

Re: Shocks

You should be able to get those Monroe’s replaced under warranty If you want to give them another go. Monroe isn’t what they used be. I’ve seen them leak after 6 months. Definitely go for the Bilsteins.

Re: Shocks

And I don't mean KYB or Gabriel are complete crap, just Bilstein is that much better. I agree. I just mentioned KYB as a cheaper alternative. Before I switched to Strange adjustables, I had Gabriel rear shocks on my Mustang. They stood up to a lot of abuse. Just saying. But Bilstein would definitel...

Re: Things that irritate you

I've noticed that I encounter more of these "traffic obstacles" when I'm in my wife's vehicle. When I'm in my 4X4 truck, cars seem more obliged to move over. As for the people who still don't get the point, and make me pass them in the right lane. As soon as I pass them, I immediately chan...

Re: Things that irritate you

There used to be a time where you could judge a book by it's cover, Mercedes drivers, BMW drivers, women, old folks, whatever. In today's world, all that is out the window. The only ones you can kinda shoehorn into a stereotype is a Prius driver, and by extension, most electric vehicle drivers. Wha...

Re: Latest 3D print (John Wick)

I've actually been thinking about maybe looking around and seeing if they have a Neo matrix statue .stl file where he was dodging bullets. I think that would be a cool one to print & paint up. I'm a Next Gen fan of the Star Trek franchise. There's a Picard bust on Thingiverse that I tried printi...

Re: Things that irritate you

I know where I am going, I know how to get there, and I know what I'm doing. It doesn't matter if it's behind the wheel, at the grocery store, or anywhere else. If I don't know any of the above, I will step aside of traffic to figure it out! This explains me perfectly. And almost everyone of your e...

Re: Things that irritate you

Lorry (truck) racing on motorways , over here in the UK we have a 60mph speed limit for Lorry's on the motorway , all Lorry's have a govoner to stop them going faster , over on the continent it's almost the same but it's in Kph , almost the same as in its actually 58mph , so some Lorry's that do in...

Re: Things that irritate you

Seems like stupid drivers are a universal problem. I agree with what others have said on the subject of slow cars imposing their idea of the speed limit on everyone else and will add another from the opposite perspective. I don't get the tailgaters who think they can intimidate me into solvin...
