Re: RC hobby good for wellbeing? According to psychologists...

I recently saw pictures of WAPO or the Times, I don't remember which, but is was a major newspaper with two completely different headlines on the same cover story depending on what area of town, i.e. which side of the aisle, was going to be reading it. We do not have any credible news outlets anymore.

Re: off topic: fry sauce

Not to hijack the thread, but one thing that does seem to be regional is the use of mayonnaise. Personally, I'm more of a salad dressing (mayo with sweet relish) kind of guy, but mayo is fine. My point is, I hear some regions/restaurants use it liberally on everything, the only place I ever see it i...

Re: off topic: fry sauce

My stomping grounds were Portland to Salem, Mt. Hood to the coast. Bob's Big Boy was the burger place of Salem where I went to college. I left the state in the mid-80's, Burgerville must have come after that.

Re: off topic: fry sauce

Edit: Curly fries and fry sauce is what I've found to be a nearly unbeatable combination though. Oh, I can easily beat this one! Fries and a good house made BBQ sauce! Don't bother with any store brand/off the shelf garbage, while maybe passable for use on other things, it can't beat a good house m...

Re: Back In My Day ..................

Bozo was just slightly before my time. I know of him, but his program was no longer on. You callin' me old??  It was on WGN before school. Kids would win a prize based on how many buckets they could land a ping pong ball in. If you made it to the last one you won a bike. A Schwinn if I r...

Re: Back In My Day ..................

I wonder if Bozo was more of a local program than national. I believe so. Based out of Chicago and available on WGN if you had cable. I was neither in Chicago nor had cable back in the day. In fact, I didn't have cable until around the mid-00's when my roommate upgraded from phone line to cable int...

Re: off topic: fry sauce

The second is definitely NOT meatloaf, but a delicious acquired taste. (A Pennsylvania Deutsch thing) Ooh, I think I know what that is, can't remember what it's called, but I remember an episode of Dirty Jobs that covered the making of this meat thing that was a lot like Spam (the canned mea...

Re: off topic: fry sauce

not sure if this is weird or not especially following the mayo and PB haha, but my same grandmother that made head cheese also made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with dry salami slices on it, and to this day its by far my favorite sandwich. Sweet and savory, so good If you like that, then you'...

I just don't happen to care for bananas. I can eat them, but avoid them if I can.

Hawaiian or Super Hawaiian pizza is my favorite! The difference is that the Super has the addition of bacon.
