So after 10 months of gathering parts I am finally ready to start this build.

Front End done.

Today I was able to replace the front 8-32 bellcrank screws with shorter 5/8" aluminum screws. I know I could have taken a cutoff wheel to the existing ones, but I actually needed them for another upcoming build. I finished applying the decals, put the RPM translucent Hydra gear cover on, and s...

These won't look rare but they are...1 of 2 sets of test arms for a RC10T. They were made with a special blend of RPM and fiber filled nylons to see if they could hold up and still be covered under the RPM warranty. They did but never went into production...I have one NOS set and one set on my Ultra...

Many many thanks to Chris (1300GT) for machining up a set of aluminum axles for me. They fit much better than the crappy steel ones and shave off 7 grams. 20231028_085916.jpg Some pretty high end electronics going into it..... Pulled the Nix91 off the shelf and updated with some reman TH1 rear hubs and JC wheels.

Think I'll dye the rear wheels black and leave the front white...

Thought I’d share some pics of my Kyosho Javelin I just got into runner status. I installed a Hobbywing 1060 ESC (fit great but needed to extend the Battery/motor wires) and a OG Kyosho 480 gold motor. I also added a couple upgrades, a carbon top plate and shock mounts to break up some of the gold… ...

I hope some cool stuff comes out of Area 51 next year. You know...... maybe a kit that you can actually race and buy replacement parts for. I'll save my money for that.

This release from Kyosho is just awesome. I bought 2 kits...one to keep sealed nib and one to build as a tribute shelfer with upgrades and vintage electronics.
