Re: 870c ReRe?
What did you end up running? I pulled the trigger on the kit and grabbed the pink 27T brushed motor from Japan. I'd like to think the kit-supplied pinion would work with the car-specific motor. Regardless I'd be curious what you're running and what pinion you went with as I'd still like to try a br...

Re: Cougar Classic / Pro Trans / Help me with gearing?
For stock motors you'll definitely have to change to a smaller spur if one isn't included. Take your desired spur gear and divide it by your pinion, then times it by the transmission ratio. I don't know Schumacher's so this is an example from an AE. Say we have a 70 tooth spur, a 24 tooth pinion, an...

Re: Javelin brushless motor fitment
My Optima has run motors from Hobbywing, Tekin, Thunderpower and Trackstar. Not had a problem with the wiring, but I know others have. You do have to be really neat with your soldering, and I have gone over it with a Dremel to grind it down flatter if needed. Run the 51T spur gear designed to change...

Re: Javelin brushless motor fitment
I dug the Optima out when I was looking for something else, and realised why I haven't had any problems fitting any motor into it. It's an original motor guard and after years of use it bears no relation its original shape any more. The indent on the upper surface of the guard is supposed to b...

Re: Javelin brushless motor fitment
I remember having the same question when assembling the Javelin... with the OTW126 spur gear it's not an issue anymore. You may refer to my Javelin and Turbo Optima threads if you want more information... Another solution would be to use a brushless with contacts set on the rear side of the motor, j...

Re: The next rere... a GT?!!
The K&B I have is the .18 with the cast head, but I ordered a machined head as well for it. I already had the engine here. I also ordered another one with the machined head and a plain backplate off the plane engine to get rid of the pull start, but the pull start clears fine. It hangs down a li...

Re: RC10 Re-release shock seal options
They are 1/8" shafts, but stille use the same "006" size o ring. I have a large bag of 006 sized silicone o rings that I use on everything.

Re: RC10 Re-release shock seal options
most all 1/10th shock o-rings works.
I use the traxxas 2362 rebuild kit o-rings. Associated makes low friction x-rings. I also use these Avid X-rings

Re: Possible Kinwald Edition RC10 inbound?
It's a Kinwald car, not a Worlds car.
Iridium was a special finish created by DA Graphite. In the right light/angle, it will give of a sparkly rainbow effect.

Re: Possible Kinwald Edition RC10 inbound?
You can find info on the worlds car and rere worlds in the rc10 history section, and yes they are different to kinwalds actual '93 winning car, which it seems the route AE is going with this time around. Please see the following link for a members '93 replica (kenooze) to fully understand the detail...

Re: Possible Kinwald Edition RC10 inbound?
Y'all were right; this isn't simply a Worlds re-release. It is AE's attempt to replicate the '93 IFMAR winning car and create a nice tribute to a great RC racer who is no longer with us.
That makes this one very special.
I've gone ahead with a pre-order.
