Re: Rear Cab Body for AE RC10 B6 / B7 - FINALLY

Based on this thread I bought one and must say I really dig it. My B7 looks really unique and different with this body. At first glance it doesn't really look like a B7 at all. Up close all the Associated blue hardware gives it away, but from the drivers stand I could tell people anything and they'd...

Re: The Lives and Deaths of RC Companies

There are a few bright spots and silver linings. My RC10 Graphite listed for $325 in 1989 and sold for around $300 retail. My ne w RC10B7 was $385 in 2024. That's a 28% nominal increase, but corrected for 35 years of inflation it's a net decline. $300 in 1989 is equivalent to ~$760 today. The tech i...

Re: gear chart or pinion advice for Losi JRX-Pro

Thanks guys. I was able to fit a 30T pinion easily. The JRX-Pro is now all wired up and ready to run. I haven't gotten it out to a park yet but it does some mean burnouts on my carpet with the orignal Losi tires

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I took my RC10B7D and B74.2D up to Hobby Action in Chandler and did about 5.5 hours of track time.

I managed to break a shock tower on the B74, but that's better than Tuesday's trip when I took three cars and broke all three, one of 'em twice

So I took my vintage Losi to the track..

I drove up to Hobby Action raceway in Chandler AZ on Tuesday with my JRX-Pro and a pair of modern Associated buggies (B7 and 74.2D) and managed to break all 3. The B74.2 was just electrical gremlins and the B7 broke both a servo horn and a ball cup, but the Losi broke a rear H-arm and the steel oute...

Re: So I took my vintage Losi to the track..

Yeah, not bad. About 18 bucks for a pair of arms with inner hinge pins. I don't remember what I paid for the outer pins, but it was not pricey.

Re: So I took my vintage Losi to the track..

Sounds like the breakage caused the accident.. For a stronger modification, you can use A-2007 5-link outer hinge pins. This was featured in Losi Tech Talk back in the day. Here it is on my runner JRXT but I used some shock spacers instead of the push on clips. https://i.postimg.cc/FsTFhKG4/69-C1-C...

Re: So I took my vintage Losi to the track..

The parts arrived and everything is back together. The A-2007 mod worked great. Weirdly my old JRX-Pro lists the outer hinge pin part number as A-2007, which it definitely was not. I'm guessing that was a misprint that carried over the JRX-2 part number. Oh well, happy accident.

I finally finished my Team Car gold edition

As I mentioned in the "What did you get in the post" thread I received my RC10 Team Car ReRe back on December 12th. I had some big work projects pending that were due before year end so I put off cutting the seals until I'd gotten all those chores done, so I didn't start the build until Ja...

Starting my RC10L rebuild

I've finally started working on my old RC10L graphite car. It sat in a box for about 30 years and then got a quick run last June using 30 year old Ni-Cads that were still taped onto the chassis which ended with the left rear hub getting loose. During my RC10 Graphite rebuild I damaged the servo save...

Re: ReRe rear dogbones popping out

That washer fix for the 4wd was perfect. Now I am working on the Team ReRe and there is nothing that can fix this that I can figure out. It needs longer dog bones. I was able to solve the problem with my Team Gold Re-Release by using 1/4" fuel tubing as a spacer undre the piston on the shock s...
