Greetings from sunny Arizona
I recently found and dusted off my 35 year old RC10 Graphite and took it for a spin. Amazingly it ran and even the 30+ year old Ni-cad batteries still took a charge. Since then I've been scouring youtube and rc10talk for info so I can do a thorough refresh on the car. The car is currently in pieces ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I stuffed foam inserts into tires and started laying out parts for my RC10 Graphite refresh. 20240610_232724.jpg Those are Trinity rims with some lightly used Trinity tires. Both are over 30 years old. The FanRC parts are for my RC10 Graphite refresh project. Its getting new titanium tie rods and ha...

RC10 Graphite rebuild - the doom buggy rides again
Since no thread is any good without pictures I'll start this one off with a picture and a story. Along the way I'll do a little RC archaeology as I dig through old track bags and parts boxes. These are the doom buggies. Well, one doom buggy and the bodies off the other. My RC10 graphite is already i...

Re: RC10 Graphite rebuild - the doom buggy rides again
Sunday night, my weekend is done. Time for another update. I'll break this up logically into a couple of posts so that it is easier to follow and multiple topics don't get jumbled together. First a follow up to last week's post then maybe that promised digression into some RC Archaeology (What's in ...

Re: RC10 Graphite rebuild - the doom buggy rides again
I've got a little window of spare time so it's time fo another update. While I was waiting for the M3 ball studs to come in and perserverating over it I tried to borrow/steal/gank the ball studs from the servo saver in my RC10L onroad car. Like most impromptu auto burglaries this did not go to plan ...

Re: RC10 Graphite rebuild - the doom buggy rides again
For nostalgia I dressed the buggy up in its race winning livery, or as close an approximation as I can get. This is pretty much the identical tire and wheel package that I had on the car during its first race. Trinity front wheels and tires (literally the same 30+ year old trinity tires in front). H...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I converted my ESC and batteries to Deans ultra plugs. Also had to re-learn how to solder. Managed to melt one of the plugs a bit in the process. Fortunately I bought extra.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Didn't manage to post yesterday so I'll cover two days with one post. I got Deans ultra plugs, a sensor cable, RC10 wing wire, teardrop wing mounts, A Reedy Radon 2 17T, some 3000Mah 2S shorty packs, adhesive backed velcro strips and a bunch of JConcepts wheels. plans.jpg because-yellow.jpg I accide...

Tucsonan's Desert Dirt Machines
This is my rebuilt RC10 Graphite. The shocks, turnbuckles, body and battery box are modern. Pretty much everything else is original or vintage hopups that I bought between 89 and 93. desert-buggy.jpg cactus-buggy-sm.jpg Details: The Buggy 1989 RC10 Graphite kit number 6030 This was the ball bearing ...

Re: RC10 Graphite rebuild - the doom buggy rides again
A quick update I decided I needed something better than the vintage 75MHz Airtronics if I'm going to drive the buggy and thought 'buy once, cry once', so: buy-once-cry-once.jpg I added the Flysky FS-CVT01 i-bus voltage sensor so I can monitor my lipo battery charge since the vintage Tekin ESC has no...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I've been busy lately
The RC10B74.2D got wrenched on a bit today and the Graphite and B7D both got driven at the park.
B7 and B74 are new, built over the last month. Feeling a bit poor now
