Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
I'm going to get back to work, but had to share this one. After the manual shows putting one of the too long ball studs from Bag D in the rear arm, and in the center hole: https://i.imgur.com/ZshK9m7.jpg Nothing actually goes in the center hole at all. Sway bar goes in the hole closest to the Stealt...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
I set the RPM camber gauge at 0°.

There is only the slightest sliver of negative camber with the rear arms parallel to the chassis.

I set my Rear Camber turnbuckles to 0.45" or 11.49mm, to get there.

Chassis nearly done. https://i.imgur.com/6pdcitk.jpg In Bag D are (4) small 4-40 nuts, and (2) large 4-40 nuts, the manual doesn't say which nuts go where: The large 4-40 nuts in Bag D, go on the rear shock tower shock bolts. https://i.imgur.com/cVNnXTn.jpg No shocks yet, propped up to ride height. ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
JRXT body from Sabula Tech on ebay. Thinking of painting it just like the OG box art. I love it.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
The plan was to work on a DS while working on a FR01, but UPS has decided I don't need that DS quite yet. So, pulled out the Hanger On that I started a couple of weeks ago and finished it up, then took it apart, then finished it up, and took it apart again, then finished it up ..................

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
WOW! That double cab fits perfect and looks amazing 👌 I think I'm going to have to order a second DS now🤦♂️ Who makes the double cab body and do you know where they are sold? I will be paying close attention to how you build the mounts. Alan The DC body is an unlicensed knockoff found on ebay, it'...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Having difficulty figuring out the shock seals and spacers. On the tree are (4) thick spacers in the yellow box, and (8) thin ones with a bevel that looks like they ride on the o-rings on one side, in the red box: https://i.imgur.com/3KxjUPo.jpg Manual shows (5) spacers and seals per shock, and show...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
I could be wrong but they look like 1/16 " spacers. Can be used for down stops and also for adjusting the rear hub carrier.

Built the Dirtmaster. Feels like a really solid car. Just need to paint up a body and give it a shakedown run.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build

These shocks really are nice quality, the chassis is smooth and the anti-roll should make it hold well in the turns. Looking forward to driving this one.
Stealth is next.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
No where in this manual do they show the diff grease, or where it goes: https://i.imgur.com/jsJ6Ary.jpg The kit includes the diff grease, but it has a part number on it, no name on it, and the manual never calls for any grease on the diff. I know what it is and where it goes, but someone new, or the...
