Re: Tamiya Super Champ

I love the Super Champ as well. Back in the early 90's was my first experience with one. My father and I would drive around to different pawn shops seeing if we could find any hobby grade R/C's for cheap. We went to a really run down one and found a box that contained a metal buggy without body, and...

Re: My Vintage Box Art RC10 replicas

Pyxster, The way I do it, is I drill a .08" hole into the body where I want the lights, and then I use 2-56 threaded screws to attach them. The AE fog lights you will need to drill and thread a hole in for the 2-56 screws. If you use the Rough Rider lights as I have here ( the original box art ...

Re: Ronbo's YZ870C YZ10 Masami 89 and/or my YZ10 schemes...

Here is the rolling chassis. Still more to do and update all that I've done. I would still like a full set of long Yoke universals F/R , but Ive got the DB01 and will see how i can utilize the stock wheel adapters. I will say, as i built it, especially when i put the rear white 3D printed arms on, i...

Re: Have vintage rc10 prices been going down lately?

morrisey0 wrote: Mon May 16, 2022 7:50 pm Just enough stuck with the hobby, and want to continue to move forward, and they are collecting cars still, and they are keeping prices high.
It's my fault. I never had an RC10 as a kid, but always wanted one. Now I have more than my fair share, and still collecting.... moo ah ah ahhhhh.... 😁

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

The bearings are fine. I'm gonna assume you got the Worlds re-release kit, so you should probably ended up with 4 extra 3/16x3/8 bearings. I bought the kit recommended by @jcwrks, this one https://www.avidrc.com/flexkit/?kit=849&kitname=RC10+Worlds+Car These two bearings are not like anything e...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

I'll most likely put the RC10 body back on, but I do have a few of my favorite VW Bus body now. Looks like you buy like I do... Them: "How many would you like?" Me: "How many do you have??" I bought every one I could find under $50 shipped . If they make a 21 window B...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

Front end was pretty bad. I was so lucky to find a bag full of shock mount parts that were brand new, bolts, washers, nuts, couldn't believe it. The new hardware really made a difference. Starting off ugly. https://i.imgur.com/H9Ql2mB.jpg Used more simple green and longest time setting, with better ...

Vintage AE Team / Worlds build thread

I acquired a new build buggy from mikea96 several years ago. I was very pleased with his vision, but the purist in me decided to strip it down and make it an AE parts car only. The pic below shows some of the original parts that were sourced. Neon yellow chassis is an original B stamp. Other parts w...
