Greetings from Mass, USA
Hi RC people. Got back into RC this past year after about 40 years as my kids are about the age I was when I convinced my parents to buy me a used Hornet, which was my pride and joy. This past year I got Grasshopper->Hornet->Frog->TT02-BR->XV-01. Obviously I have a soft spot for Tamiya. RC10 was alw...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Anyone else refreshing the 40th Anniversary micro site link 10 times a day for updates? Asking for a friend :lol: Loooks like some minor updates to the instructions page and a downloadable wallpaper. I can only see the pre-order page. Where are you looking? Very minor changes really…. wallpaper: ht...

Re: Simulator training
Pole Position :lol: I had that on 7" floppy in the 80's. Ivan Ironman Stewart was my arcade weakness. I can hear “Prepare to qualify” in my head from the Pole Position arcade at my local pizza joint to this day. I always did the late turn in to corners where you spin the wheel super fast and c...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
My build is now under way. This is my first RC10. Initial thoughts: 1) Tamiya tool is indispensable for ballstud installation 2) Never met an e-clip I’ve liked… ever 3) SAE: I’ve forgotten my fractions 4) Compared to Tamiya, It’s SO nice to pull parts from single bags that match the instructions. ET...

Re: #6007 RC10 40th Classic Kit
@duckhead
Wonderful post. Question: Why did you use 4 washers on the front body post instead of 2 per instructions? I was wondering why I had 2 left over after step 1 and you seem to know far more than I do about the RC10.
Thanks!

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
“Made” some tribute motors for future builds https://tcphotos.net/images/2024/05/11/IMG_8121.jpeg anyone selling motor decals like these? I’d love to make a tribute AE 540 with a fresh motor. I just use MCI, usually order on 20% off weekends. They serve the purpose as I’m not trying to pass them of...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I just got these micro snap ring pliers for thr RC10 Classic 40th drive gear bushing retaining ring and it made installing the ring SUPER easy. It’ll also be great for future tear downs as I went with ball bearings instead of using the bushings. Highly recommend this tool: https://www.mcmaster.com/p...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Just noticed that one of my rear stub axles is NOT threaded while attempting to install the rear tire lock nut. 3 of the axles are threaded, this one is smooth. I opened an AE service request for a new axle and roll pin... will keep everyone updated on what they say. VERY annoyed as this was the fin...
