Re: Alex B's WCS 1989 build

Completed car with body from Penguin, the wing is also Penguin one. I'm unsure about the wing buttons they are a similar colour grey to Yokomo 870c shocks. The wing wire came with I think a Buds wing from back in the day. The tyres are not correct for an exact replica but they are vintage Yokomo Hot...

Re: Yokomo MX-4........ Restore or part out?

The kit specific lower bulk head parts are impossible to find, and although there is a 3D printed option, I decided to research other Yokomo parts, and found that ZS-300RTG (For the MR4-TC) bulk head parts are very very similar. I was able to locate NIP parts locally (again) so grabbed them today. ...

Re: 1993 WCS ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts

Have a bunch of parts ordered and on their way, just waiting for some packages. Hope to have an update on this project soon. This is more of a reference note for myself but I am getting ready to start assembling the steering components and believe the ZC-201 flange bearings are 3 x 6mm and will fit...

Re: 1993 WCS ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts

Drilling holes in those battery posts is a nightmare, maybe it was my bits but in the end I heated up a 2mm bit on the gas stove and used that to make a pilot hole which I then drilled out with a pin vice.

Re-Re 870c motor mount vintage chassis fitment

Having had a look at the re-re motor mount I thought it looked broadly in spec with an original motor mount so I purchased one to check fitment on an original chassis. The mount in its standard form will fit an original chassis on the two forward and middle screw holes, however the rear most hole do...

Re-Re 870c Slipper and layshaft on vintage chassis

As per my last post concerning the fitment of th re-re motor mount. I just got in all the parts to check for fitment of the re-re 870c slipper on an original 870c, works etc. As you can see from the photographs below it works and the fitment appears to be fine (not run it yet tho) although the rear ...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Phin wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 3:38 pm Had this for a little while but only just now realized it's made from CC style graphite (and not plastic). Anyone know what it is? It's about 65mm/10 7/16" long.
Yokomo 870c backbone - quite a rare part these days as most tossed them and put a topdeck on.

Re: Yokomo MX-4 SSG Special

Hi Dual, what a buggy! If able, could you tell me what is the length of the 3 front tower / arm support posts? Would be helpful as not having this part. Thanks in advance. 👍🏼 Are you talking about the standoffs used to mount the camber link to the front shock tower? If so 15mm x m3 - plenty on alie...

Re: Yz-834b re re thoughts

DSC_0655.JPG Mine is good to go, went with a cheap shorty lipo as the stick liop I was planning on using did quite fit with the body on. The stock Yokomo Motor seems to have a bit of punch for a 27T but I've only run it around the living room (hence the dog hair). One problem I had though was the r...
