Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2021 ** - Winner - jwscab

Glad you all enjoyed it and thanks to all of my competitors, you had some sweet rides I enjoyed checking out!! After all, that's what this contest...

Home theater

It took me longer to build the theater than it took to build the house.
130+" screen, 7.1, 2k watts, sub plays well below 20hz and lots of acoustic damping.
The only task that was "farmed out" was the seating upholstery.
It started as an unfinished rectangular room.

A random bump that never hurts??? Surely you're not hitting yourself hard enough!

Man how I wish I had a space like that.
My "hobby room" is a 30x40 inch table sat in the corner of the room. I definitely gotta do something about that.

Re: The dog thread

I was touring Facebook and Andy (yes, that Andy) posted this beautiful pup needed to be rescued. So I tortured over it (we havent had a pet in nearly 20 years) and went to pick her up. A lovely Husky (I think a little Malamute mixed in) with gorgeous crystal blue eyes. She hopped right into the back...

Re: == Who the Heck Are You? ==

Brian, 42 years old from Northern California. Always wanted to get into RC when I was young, could never seem to afford it then. Now I can, and am having a blast. I'm a mechanic/fabricator, so doing it at scale is fun for me. My collection includes a Kyosho Dirt Road 10, RC10T, RC10GTE, B3, Stampede...

Re: Home theater

Thanks guys Steve- It's a painted ceiling with UV reactive glow paint for stars. I had been to "The worlds largest mechanical planetarium" I visited there while on a trip to the family cottage. And that was the inspiration for the ceiling. There are 8 4' UV fluorescent tube fixtures nested...

Re: Currently Playing

Been a long week, not sure why this popped in my head while making a pizza earlier... So great that someone is still reminding the world of the Dead Milkmen in 2021!! I was a bigger fan of Big Lizard in My Backyard than Beelzabubba, but all they did in that era was just good ol' fun rock / punk!! :...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Korean mandated quarantine day 11/14. I am about to Daffy Duck myself over the horizon.... Anyhow, here's a pic off the back deck. Air quality was actually really good today. There are days when I can't even see the buildings over there.
