what body is this? looks like protech but????

Ever seen this one before? looks like a protech but with a whale tale in the rear of the body. Not saying it's pretty, just never seen it. Custom job? Yup if you consider the solid axle is just like a stock solid axle car, the watts link and side links provide the best articulation with the least compromise. Pretty neat.

Dropped an "F" load on parts just fir the body. I will have $115 in the body before its even painted, and that doesnt count the driver figure. These Assaults aint cheap to restore! Car has been shipped, its on its way :shock: They call it the Assault for a reason..... that's what it does ...

How about a Kyosho Cactus? It doesn't have the pinion + spur arrangement you described, but it does have the other features and a very odd gearbox :D . The grooved tires front and rear were stock.
