Re: Losi XX4 Modern Racer build
^ Juicedcoupe - Interesting. I didn't know that was a thing with ceramic bearings. The cost of ceramics is kinda crazy, but guys running modern stock classes swear by them as a big improvement. I was pretty shocked by how much resistance there was in both XX4's when I spun the drivetrain. Maybe they...

Ultimate Tamiya Egress Thread
I wanted to start a thread for Tamiya Egress enthusiasts. This is easily my favorite buggy of all time from Tamiya. Whoever designed this mean-looking buggy hit a homerun. It looks so fast and awesome right out of the box. This is my all-out 2022 rendition of the Tamiya Egress. The original 1989 is ...

Jammin J-550 Pro-SE Steering Enhancement Kit
Jammin J-550 Pro-SE Steering Enhancement Kit I have two of these kits…so I decided to open one up, install it on my Pro-SE and see what it’s all about. https://i.postimg.cc/CLRMcynn/6-F1-C2564-28-E7-4-D73-B3-EE-DBE9-D1-CA8-AB6.jpg The shock tower is the same shape as the original, slightly thicker a...

Re: Jammin J-550 Pro-SE Steering Enhancement Kit
Overall..the camber link is raised, lengthened and made more perpendicular to the chassis centerline. Also aligning up better with the swept front arms..

Re: Losi XX4 Modern Racer build
I changed the Exotek steering horn to the "B"option. This makes a proper right angle to the arms, and should provide consistent throw to left and right.

Re: Losi XX4 Modern Racer build
Plugging along. I'm using MIP aluminum front CVDs. Unfortunately the anodizing was so dark, they basically looked like steel. So I polished them up for some added bling.
I also reluctantly cut open my sealed package of Lunsford XX4 king pins. This was a very hard item for me to find.

Re: Losi XX4 Modern Racer build
I'm a big fan of the Jconcepts finned turnbuckles. These are the slightly bulkier 3.5mm Ti units in black, fitted with Lunsford ends. Lunsford and Jconcepts both make such impressive products. The appearance and finish of Lunsford titanium hardware is better than anything else in the RC market that ...

Re: Losi XX4 Modern Racer build
Losi aluminum drives with the beautiful light colored anodizing. I am using Exotek 22-4 hubs. It took a lot of trial and error, but I got the parts to all work together. The drives spin very free with zero slop.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
A little late to the party but here is mine, using 2-56 and 6-32 nylon nuts and a hackfab mini-t oval battery strap cut up and attached to a printed mount.
