I have been having a blast driving this truck! After a wicked high-speed cartwheel that chucked a tie-rod and a few near misses with fence poles…I installed this used JG on-road bumper to the truck. It totally fits and will help protect the front bulkhead & suspension better. It has been surpris...

Re: GM Racing Digital HEL 4000 Universe
@Justhandgun this is the best I can do.... sadly, my GM Catalog from 1997 has the 3000, rather than the 4000.... but some of the information might be helpful.

Re: Kyosho Lazer ZX-S Evolution
The Kyosho orange-yellow springs arrived to match the Kyosho hardened alloy rear hub (shared with the Ultima RB Type R).
The rolling chassis is almost completed, I'm still waiting on some plastic parts for the rear sway bar.

I am starting with a very clean donor car, and lots of NIP parts to replace anything that shows signs of damage or wear. Several years back I built a Pro XRT truck all from N...

Re: Evaluation: Is this Marui Samurai even worth restoring?
When you clean up the motor, resist the urge to use isopropyl alcohol or other solvents anywhere near the label. Bad things can happen to original labels.

Re: Evaluation: Is this Marui Samurai even worth restoring?
Well... Lot of part very difficult to finds among those broken if you are searching for originals... I would start by tear it down to parts, and check the state of all metal parts and transmission parts. If everything is in proper state, there is easy printed 3D part from Dadio on shapeways and from...

Re: Evaluation: Is this Marui Samurai even worth restoring?
Well, 2 out of 3 diffs are basically destroyed. The rear diff has 2 trashed spider gears and the center diff is poorly epoxied together. also that transmission half with the epoxy is cracked in several places. I guess if I come across replacement diff gears at some point I'll rebuild this thing wit...
