Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Took my B4 basher out for some street running. The Traxxarse XL5 ESC sometimes wouldn't allow reverse. I remember that's been a problem before with this ESC. I think I need to replace it with one of the $5 Spektrum units I got (thanks for the tip juicedcoupe).

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE build
Yeah, the transmission feels super smooth. Good point on the bearings. I guess they don't really serve much purpose, huh? I opened the NIP SE chassis. This is the later version with the cut outs for the retrofit transmission and servo saver. I'm using the upgraded ball bearing steering arms, combine...

Steering mounted. Arms built up with Tecnacraft titanium gold hinge pins, gold e-clips, and Trinity aluminum ballstuds.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
I would assume that AE would be doing a replica of the original 4wd prototype (if it were to happen) though, which is a bit different than MIP's setup. The problem there is they say stealth trans front and rear which that didn't use, plus they never had that original 4wd for long. It was only in th...

Re: Frankenshorty RC10 buggies - #2: The Stubbie Tub
Oh yeah, I still need to put a new connector on that little battery. Then it's wheelie time!

Getting closer to wheelie time! Busted out my OG waffle street tires and got the connector swapped. That is some really light gage wire on the battery lead.

I meant the pan. Oh, oops. Got this from AutoZone. . 1000014473.jpg . I'm ready for a better run video, but I think I need to fire my videographer. She's terrible at it, and not very receptive of fine artistic criticism. Like zoom in and follow the buggy with the camera. . 1000014...

Re: Abandoned JRX2
I agree on the wild red wheels. 8) The orange wheels made it too monochrome. Tires were also a tough choice.... 20250217_094943.jpg 20250217_095551.jpg And wing. 20250217_095726.jpg 20250217_100109.jpg End result after consulting a beer. Vari spike rear tires and clear wing for now. 20250217_120433....

Re: Frankenshorty RC10 buggies - #2: The Stubbie Tub
If this was going to get used as a runner, I think the first thing I'd do is upgrade the steering bellcranks. The z bend setup just isn't very precise, especially when the holes start to get a little wear. I'd also put in a good steering servo. The S148 is in there just because it's big, and this is...

Yeah I'm gonna let them figure that out, hahaha. I'm done spending money just to have them clone it. I already have something else cooking.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
To me the car is a total rip-off of Jeff's kit...looks nothing like the prototype car that ran in the IFMAR 's that they are promoting in they're ads online...and it's not an opinion..it's a fact.
