Re: Rebuilding my JRX Pro-SE

Just a quick update: I had set this project aside because I ran into an issue where I couldn't set my differential or slipper right. Seemed no matter what I did either one slipped excessively or it was locked up. I chalked it up to the losi 13.5 Brushless motor being too hot and me needing to figure...

Re: The Ugly Truckling JRXT

A few minutes into the run with the Onyx motor, it threw out a rear outer hinge pin. The snap-in clips that I used were worn and iffy, so not too shocked. Upgraded both sides with 5-link A-2007 pins and some used spacers. https://i.postimg.cc/FsTFhKG4/69-C1-C4-E5-C397-4370-AA04-F53957-EA4694.jpg The...

Re: Losi XX4 Modern Racer build

JC Racing wheels and Schumacher rubber has been installed. Still working on the stance, and a few other things to come. Comments always welcome.

Re: Losi XX4 Rebuild

Since I have been building my XX4 modern racer, I decided to try adding some period electronics to this one. I'm not going to solder anything in yet, but I think I like how it looks.

Re: JRX Pro ebay find, runner rebuild

Looking good and not too ugly at all..you’ve seen my jrxt build, right? The only thing that looks off to me is the 2.5” pink front springs..too long unless you cut off 3 coils like the Jammin steering enhancement kit recommends.

Re: JRX Pro ebay find, runner rebuild

Yeah that’s true! Ha.. Typically the .9 shocks use a 2” spring. 1.5” on .6, 2.5-2.75” on 1.2 rears. I’m almost done with my ProSE build..nice buggy buy the JrxPro is my favorite.

Coupons and Specials

Not sure if there is already a place for this, if not, post current sales and coupons that will help fellow members. I’ll start with MCI Racing. They have a 20% discount for this weekend. I wasn’t aware they made repro RC10 plastic parts and tires.

Regards,

Re: RC10 A+ Buggy Project

Minor update. I didn't like the double stack nose tubes holding the servo hostage so I'm moved them to the sides. It makes a little more servo linkage space too, although there was already enough for full steering throw.

RC10 DS unboxing in 2022 (Japan kit)

This is an unboxing of the RC10 DS kit from Japan. This is the racer spec kit with teflon-coated shocks and full bearings. I think most Associated kits sold in Japan were all racing spec since parts and hop-ups were harder to come by. Mine didn't come with a body...is this normal or just missing? Th...

Re: My JRX2 restore/race build

Getting the runner ready for the Kinwald Classic this weekend. Going up against B2s and XXs so I doubt it'll be all that competitive but it will be fun! Hoping my 88/89 vintage Tekin ESC600 Pro XT holds up, was surprised it even worked lol

Nope, on the motor leads. Used a cap from my Hobbywing Justock ESC since I had it handy.

Re: Finally getting around to building a clod

Last one, waiting for motors and servos but I think the cage is good to go. Added a basic dash and corrected the fit with the smoked windshield installed. It’s now sitting in the lowest position and towards the back a bit, but it’s adjustable. It can also be left off and you can run a Lexan body. Sh...

1985 IFMAR Race Report from Japan with stunning photos

I was lucky to get this vintage RC book in my collection recently. The report and photos report of the first-ever 1985 IFMAR world champion race is simply amazing to me. I came across a PDF of the photos on the internet a while back, blown away by the quality of the color photos. In the 1980s Japan ...
