Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Just finished up the Mini Nationals here at RC Madness and while I completely bombed my jrx2 and jrxt A mains i had a great time. The mid motor JRX2 held up well and is starting to handle good. I realized that my modification to the rear hub actually shortened the rear track width. Despite that i go...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Well the Flyin' Brick (Mini JRX2m) managed to [barely] TQ on Thursday, granted it was a light day on drivers for the Mini B mod class. I still blew it in the Main, but that was a ME problem. I'm pleasantly surprised on how well the resin printed stuff is holding up even after some ridiculous attempt...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
I decided to scale down and adjust the offset of the wheel design I originally made for my XXX-NT electric conversion for the Mini JRXT IMG_20230410_233405786.jpg These are the stock size I have a model made to properly fit these tires as well but haven't printed it yet. Also have one to fit standar...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Got this in the mail last night. I'ts a bunch of different JRX parts put together but lots of cool RPM goodies on it. Not sure on my plans for it yet, but might run it as is with different tires for the heck of it.

Re: Old School Rocket Car Build
Speaking as a village idiot that launched a model rocket horizontally once, you're definitely going to want brakes.
Also you might want to move the rockets back a little bit so you're not turning your axle into a rotisserie, those things burn pretty hot and it may warp/damage the axle

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Test Day! Truck side: I ended up ditching the Mamba 25 system and bought a Spektrum 2in1. The mamba had the same cogging issues as before, I thought it would be tolerable with this bigger truck but nah. Spektrum system works well though. Wheels/tires: Went well. The LC Jetgo rears grip well on the g...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2023 ** - Winner - morrisey0
My JRX2 I recently put together. May not be perfect but as a few neat period goodies like RPM front bulkhead, A&L steering and Power clutch.
I really need a better place to take pictures of these cars.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
That's what I was going for. I have an RC10T with those style wheels and really liked them so they're based on that design.mikesofunny wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 8:17 amLove the wheels! They're reminiscent of the old Pro-Line LXT wheels. Classic styling.

Re: Old School Rocket Car Build
Maybe exhaust nozzles are needed to concentrate / direct the motor thrust and keep it on center. There also is the possibility of increasing the motor thrust by accelerating the flow rate. https://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/k-12/rocket/nozzle.html or maybe not. Looks like they might already have nozzles ...
