Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
the resin might hold up better than you'd expect. I'll let you know when I can start on it, might be a couple weeks though before I have time to sit at the pc for not work.

The unplanned - Gemini SLX freshing up
LurkingCAT gave me this car for donating to the website a few weeks ago and I've decided to do some work to it recently. Not sure what compelled me to get this car, but it's nearly as old as me. I do intend on driving this car, lightly, at least a few times. I knew from the start that the original ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Well rain\thunder storms kinda put a damper on my original race plans still put down a lot of practice laps on the indoor carpet with the JRX Pro. It handles surprisingly well on high grip carpet to be honest and despite being a 21.5 motor it was keeping pace with some of the modern stuff running on...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Well looking for something else on Ebay I bumped into something very familiar looking
What gets me is the inverted rear shocks, which has been something that people are currently doing.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
With leaky carts this will keep oil in the shock long term lol I am still waiting on printer parts, upgrading my ender 3 pros to 4.2.7 main boards and adding the cr touch kits to them. I did buy a new vintage car on ebay myself... well used. Almost looks like someone found it in a closet from their...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Built a Tamiya kit for the first time. Lunchbox Black Edition. Still need to paint the body though. Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Finally had time to figure out my solidworks issues and made up a non slipper spur gear that CLM was looking for.
Hoping the test print works out OK then I'll publish it.- Sun Jul 16, 2023 7:12 pm

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
First Try!
Fits well and seems to be usable with no gear mesh issues.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Mini SE is coming along well, it only has one steering post though the screw stripped trying to take one off one of the donors. I am in the process of printing rear hubs at the moment. Those front arms are a pain heh. I plan to print a grey retro case for it to match the lxt. I am also considering ...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Update to the shock length dilemma, I have designed some stand-in shock rod ends that extend Losi long shocks to XL shock eye to eye length difference as calculated off of full sized Losi cars then scaled to the minis... it is surprising how much longer they need to be. I am test printing a couple ...

Re: Traxxas sending cease and desist letters to aftermarket companies then backing off.
As far as the Slash based cars I think the only things I've broken is rear hub carriers, popping shock caps, a slipper on the Rally and a rear bumper that someone else broke by not paying attention on the starting grid. This is since when the Slash was first released. The cars are durable. The Revo ...
