1989 IFMAR Worlds Sydney, Australia VHS

Hi All,

I've uploaded the 1989 Ifmar worlds held in Australia. I downloaded this many years ago and it seemed to disappear off the internet. Luckily I found a copy on an old backup I had.
Cheers
Rob

Re: RC10 Composite Craft Worlds build

scr8p wrote: Wed Oct 27, 2021 9:47 pm The longer this is discussed, the more I seem to remember this shorter chassis.
The shorter chassis thing came up once before.

Re: Making Aluminum Parts Like New Again; I.E. Clean But Not Shiny

The lazy-man technique that has worked the best so far is vibratory tumbler with green resin pyramids. The parts below were a bit rough, and all I did was run them trough an ultrasonic, rough sand the high spots, then threw them in the tumbler overnight. I have about 5 minutes of actual work on them...

Re: removing vintage overspray mask

I can't say I've ever seen overspray film on an original RC10 body.

Unless someone sprayed/painted some liquid mask on the outside at some stage. If it's applied too thin it behaves like you're explaining.

Re: Rc10 Worlds rere rims for the old worlds car

A rim is a component of a wheel. Bicycles, for example, have rims that are connected to the hub via a set of spokes. Assembled, they make a wheel. If you're speaking about the cylindrical part that connects the tire to the axle, then it's a wheel. Also, it's "anyway" not "anyways"...

RC300 - McLaren - Yes, it's not an RC10DS

The Associated RC300 BD (Ball Differential) - Developed in 1979. This fine specimen was built in 2008 using new parts (as stated in Ebay ad, lol). The oldest RC I have is my originally purchased in 1994 RC10GT. I've only read and seen the these old school nitro pan cars in the RC CarAction magazine...

Re: Kyosho Salute Project

The Salute didn't come with universal drive shafts. Rather than go for the Option House ones, I opted instead for these polished stainless steel ones from the brand Phoenix. 20211103_222547.jpg They add some ascent to the suspension arms assembly. 20211103_224440.jpg 20211103_224535.jpg

Re: Composite Craft Predator

Very nice Score! That's an original Composite Craft Predator that you have there! The chassis is drilled for the Predator Lynx since during the life of the Predator, Composite Craft, later on, sold Predator kits with the main chassis pre-drilled for the original Lynx/upgrade prior/during full releas...

SofaKing wrote: Sat Nov 27, 2021 3:01 pm Gorgeous build as usual sir! My only critique would be the trans brace. I think a Composite Craft one would fit the bill perfectly.
Thanks buddy! Do you need my address to send the CC brace to? 😁 I wish I had one.
