Re: Pikeys camped in the village !
I feel your pain. The homeless in my neighborhood are a huge problem. Cops run them out of other neighborhoods and they settle into ours. They leave garbage and steal things not bolted down. My girl caught one trying to squat in the Airbnb nextdoor Politicians and police do nothing lest they get bra...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Just south of Bloomington, IN Saturday on our way to marching band Regionals for my daughter. They made Semi-state so we'll be back north in a couple of weeks so the leaves should be full on.

Re: Brimod Prototype Car
Probably correct about that. Main aim will be not to crash it!! I can't imagine they had any oversights with the drivetrain, or any other part of the build. They were known for being super technical and clinical. They had produced a pair of 2wd cars at around the same time, and that had a belt drive...

Re: Brimod Prototype Car
Another bit of detective work finally paid off this afternoon. I had remembered seeing an article on the Brimod team which had three yellow and black 'Team Brimod' Optima Mids lined up... I read it back in the day but had never forgotten it. One of my friends had his old mag stash to hand so i messa...

Re: Custom Works Dominator resto (done for now 9/14)
FYI, most if not all Mini Mags did not have ridges. Like the stock plastic 834B wheels, you glued the tires in place. Brian is correct in that Mini Mags didn't have ridges but The RPS Mags that the Ranch Pit Shop sold for the 834B did have them and they are the same size as the Mini version. I've g...

Tamiya SRB diff #54897
Tamiya's rereleased their SRB diff with a new part number 54897. From the pictures it looks to be identical to the 84113 diff. At least the crazy prices these things fetch will stop....... for a while.

Re: “Mad Dog Racer”
The old Pro-Line bumper is mounted together with a reinforcement for the front shock tower that my brother folded for me. I also did some threading, M3 for the shock tower and M4 for the bumper. I think this will improve the sturdiness of the bulkhead in case of a crash. Yokomo Racer 188.jpg Yokomo ...

Re: JRX Pro build
Progressing. I decided to put on a hydradrive. I'm not concerned about staying true to any particular vintage. I am just building it how I like it. I polished up the rear axles and they came out decent. I added the MIP outdrives so I can run dogbones. I hope the spacing is correct. A big thank you t...
