The old plastic rear gearbox was ‘windowed’, same treatment for the new CNC gearbox.
This way, the alignment of the motor pinion & spur gear can be visual rather than blindly using the BD6 spacers

Modified custom SRB front end
Tamiya SRB; remarkable. Some thinks it started a generation of 1/10 RC. Many aftermarket parts. Its front end is sloppy but no good upgrade so far imho.
