Factory Works “no Fox given” chassis set
This is our new chassis set for the Fox and Nova Fox. It took us a while to come up with this design. We use a similar interlocking setup as our Hotshot. We have two sets of servo mount holes, you can leave it offset or center it up. We designed it to reuse the driver figure because, well, its kind ...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Legendary series - 30619
Finally, the Turbo Optima made its first run today in the garden. I could have done it one the track, but where I was, there was a tremplin in the middle track with no possible shortcut, and I was not ready to get the first run of the Turbo Optima there due to this (I did not really succeed to pass ...

More silliness 107_2403.JPG 107_2406.JPG 107_2407.JPG 107_2408.JPG Not sure I like the Samurai rear arms ,the chassis needs to be wider at the rear and not so long although the wheelbase will be longer than shown as I just used existing holes to mount it up the rear suspension for now .Still hoping ...

Re: Back into the scene!
Thanks Gav, It certainly seems like a genuinely enthusiastic and informative bunch from what I;lve read so far. Looking through everyone's builds has me spending a fortune in my head buying other kits that I wanted as a kid...man, I ran that Fox into the ground! Next time I'm back in the UK I'll ch...

Re: Back into the scene!
Patience is the key to not spending a fortune ! You can often find what you want straight away for an arm and a leg but if you just wait , look constantly then you find things at the right price , COVID has had a massive impact on prices as so many people wanted a project to occupy their time , now ...

Re: Back into the scene!
What is a fortune for a child is surprisingly only a bad idea for an adult. Welcome aboard. Tamiya kits are amazing since so many have stayed in production.  Very true! I agree, looking at build videos brings back so many memories...my list of future potential builds is already a dozen c...

Re: Ultima RT5 modernized custom 3D printed chassis.
Quickly designed a rear wheel hub. Its a rough design as this will be the most problematic part for FDM printing, to make this durable. Stock geometry, but added some "beef" around it and also made it 2 piece. I didnt try to make it pretty at this stage. I just wanted to make a initial par...

Re: Ultima RT5 modernized custom 3D printed chassis.
Thank you USAPaulo for your feedback! Im also eager to see how the consumer grade 3D printing is evolving when some years pass by. I've been thinking of buying resin printer for smaller/detailed parts, but the only thing thats holding me back is the durability of the parts. So im waiting for a bette...

Re: Ultima RT5 modernized custom 3D printed chassis.
Thanks for the reply! Yea, i think so too. I could not find this scale of customization project posted anywhere, but im pretty sure someone has done something like this, just haven´t posted it anywhere. I´ve done some small adjustments here and there. I added a small groove on the rear side of the c...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
I will start one off - today my wife finally got a new knee. She has been in agony with bone on bone joint pain, so this is a welcome upgrade as she puts it. :) The surgical staff were amazing and I was stunned when same day she was standing and walking with the help of a walker. It will take some t...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
It has taken a while but my family and I have fully recovered from out house fire years ago and started making progress forward again. By the end of next summer our 100'x60' backyard track should be fully operational and we will begin some new builds once again. It's hard starting over from nothing ...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
My brother, Steve, is recovering in hospital from having two malignant tumors removed (behind the right ear and above left ear). Steve was diagnosed with myeloma about two years ago and has been undergoing regular treatments and follow-up scans but somehow they missed the tumors until he started hav...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
I had major emergency abdominal surgery 3 years ago, and when I woke after the operations (unconscious for the full first month), I discovered my ankles and feet were now paralyzed. At the time, we lived in a small house, and all my RC gear was in my workshop in the basement, where I now had no way ...
