Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Thanks guys!! RC10Talk is the "real" forum for RC10's  When studying the pictures of Masami’s car I found a couple of additional holes drilled in the rear shock tower. Also cut an original bulkhead to shape. Cut, shaped and drilled the steering bell crank as per pics of Masami's car.

Re: Storm 2000 wheels

I looked in the shed.... soooo many rabbits.... but U2 were (as always) wrong - I found what I was looking for  A.jpg B.jpg The wheels with rubberware are, from memory, from a Schumacher Wildcat truck. Sadly, they're glued on,and fairly worn, so would need a dose of acetone vapour. The third pa...

Traxxas TRX1 NIB + Upgrades build (?)

I was fortunate enough to acquire this NIB Traxxas TRX1 several months ago. The box and packaging are lovely. I really want to build it up, but so far I haven't been able to get myself to cut open the pristine sealed packages, filled with fresh 1991 air. I have also gathered some nice period upgrade...

klavy69 wrote: Fri Jan 27, 2023 9:05 pm You got pictures of what storm wheels look like?

Todd
There were 2 styles (maybe more) and I think both were available in yellow or white.

The pics are from the interweb for illustration purposes. Not mine.

From the back seat during a commute to work, best I could do rolling on the freeway.

Re: Can you I.D. these?

The trailing arm chassis is Houge, the arms and the chassis. The slotted chassis most likely Composite craft.

Re: Can you I.D. these?

Yes I would clean everything up and assemble as two buggies with period correct gear. Any transmission today is going to be pricey but you could find 6 gears especially in pieces reasonably . I also second the a&l belt trans as a great addition. Part of the game is patiently waiting for the part...

Re: GoMachV’s 3d printing thread

Hahaha! So, we are pretty much out of trans cases for the LW, and have been out of outdrives since before I acquired the company. We had a workaround for the outdrives- until AE dropped everything. Ugh. So… with our 91 prototype coming this year we wanted to do something special. We will have a mold...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Sorry I don't know the manufacturer. But to clean them I would... Grab a spare axle and mount the wheel to it. Put the dog bone of the axle into a drill. Spin the wheel with the drill and polish. Compound.JPG I have been using McGuire's Ultimate Compound And a soft cloth. Probably almost any rubbing...
