If I was you I would find someone to glass bead blast them for you. They come out looking new then you just spray them with a clear topcoat to preserve the finish. I've bead blasted for other members here on the board so if you get in a bind drop me a line. Otherwise, stainless steel or brass wheel...

The silver shocks look to be the kyosho platinums as mentioned above. But yeah, the gold shocks look like they got the bevel/chamfer on the bottom of the shock body. That would make them duratrax.
