Re: Outlaw Ultima truck purchase – my very first ST
Looking at sandkil's truck, it looks like the body sits really high on these. So your options are probably pretty open for bodies. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=31302 It looks like Team Bluegroove has replacement bodies and MCI has the decals and window masks. You can also do a combined ...

Home theater
It took me longer to build the theater than it took to build the house.
130+" screen, 7.1, 2k watts, sub plays well below 20hz and lots of acoustic damping.
The only task that was "farmed out" was the seating upholstery.
It started as an unfinished rectangular room.

Re: 2014 Beetle
I think its probably a little brighter than that. But you can experiment with different backing colors on some scrap lexan. This car was backed in white, before covering it with black. A silver or grey would darken it up a little, but I think black might be a bit too much. Now that you mention it, ...

Re: The dog thread
I was touring Facebook and Andy (yes, that Andy) posted this beautiful pup needed to be rescued. So I tortured over it (we havent had a pet in nearly 20 years) and went to pick her up. A lovely Husky (I think a little Malamute mixed in) with gorgeous crystal blue eyes. She hopped right into the back...

Re: Outlaw Ultima truck purchase – my very first ST
Other than a couple minor details, the truck is finished. Here’s the chassis. The Futaba s148 servo was included with the purchase, a new HW 1060 ESC, new Futaba clone Rx, and a new Reedy Radon motor. I think the Reedy is going to be more than I want for this truck but I’ve fitted my smallest pinion...

Re: New Brushed ESC (Hobbywing 1080) vs say an Old Novak?
For what it's worth, the Hobbywing 1080 amp rating is higher than any old Novak that I know of (but I'm not Jesus and do not know all). Even though a Novak has roughly 101% more cool factor than the HW 1080, I don't see why not to run the HW 1080 if the vintage factor doesn't matter and just want a ...

Re: 6 gear thrust bearing 6627 replacement in 2021
I don't have an Associated bearing in front of my to measure, but there's this guy from McMaster Carr. Fits 1/8" shaft, 7/16" OD. For future folks the McMaster carr part is identical to the associated part D8CDF602-2266-454F-B54B-1E78CA45401A.jpeg The dirty one is from the kit and the cle...

I got the car Thursday morning. Got it fixed up enough to display at the race. Entered it in the concourse and it won best paint and best of show.

Re: Stadium Blitzer rebuild
I have just one 10T and it's in pieces at the moment. I got it as parts with a Graphite I picked up on ebay a few years ago. Maybe someday....
Anyway, the Blitzer looks great; a nice departure from standard box art.

Re: Stadium Blitzer rebuild
Your Blitzers are awesome. Really dig the Schumacher rear tires of choice. Just put some in my cart for a couple of the FXT's.
