Making a vintage parts brushed frankenmotor

I came across this really cool Epic endbell and felt like it deserved to have a can and armature to go with it. The armature I selected is a 12 turn quad with welded tabs. I think it might be a Peak Performance armature, because it came from a former sponsored racer that has been a great source of m...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

For my workshop, I found a crazy stupid deal on some fastener bins, so decided to make the base of my main worktop a bin holder. Plenty of storage, and this is only 12 of the 20 bins I have.

RPM Ultra Molded RC10

After wanting one of these as a kid 30+ years ago after seeing the magazine ad, I was finally able to build an Ultra Molded buggy. Just added a few period mods but nothing too crazy. I was so tempted to add some stickers to this blank canvas, but it looks just too good to cover up. - MIP CVD's...

Re: Favorite tools

I bought this several months ago for heat shrink, because the mini torch is too much. Heat Shrink Tubing Kit,Mini Heat Gun + 328 PCS Heat Shrink Wrap Tube 2:1. https://a.co/d/0YK4tWq Thank you. I ordered after seeing your post. Works great! Quite a bit better than the Bic lighters I used for the la...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Finished this. Need to order another decal sheet to replace a couple stripe decals I jacked up. Last r/c body I painted was nearly 30 years ago. Not great, but I'm ok with it.

If AE starts releasing Championship replicas, we're going to be here a while.

Schumacher did it first, but...yeah

Re: 1/4" axle wheel options

I'm really liking JC Racing's 5 star wheels for 1/4" axles. Just be aware that they only come in narrow fronts. JC Racing has a couple options, as well as Schumacher. I did notice that and was planning on narrow fronts already. But thanks for pointing it out. And happy birthday by the way.

Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance

Remember boys, get em while they're available. Even if you have to finance over a couple months and do a couple payments, it's better then trying to chase one down on eBay down the road and paying a premium when they're not available from AE anymore. I learned that the hard way last round when they ...

Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance

Remember boys, get em while they're available. Sound advice. I remember mulling over whether I should buy the Masami kit new at $309. Oh jeez, should I? :? I had just gotten back into the hobby and here is the greatest buggy of all time (just my opinion, obviously) and I don't want to spend...
