Soldered up a 10W 30ohm resistor, and started cycling some 1400mah SCR's. That reminds me. I've got a Dean's Blackbox and some Trinity discharge resistors that I need to put together. Done, and done. I had forgotten how much I hated the larger Dean's Ultra Wire. I said screw it and crimped some aut...

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis
One problem that you may run into is clearance between the bellcranks and the chassis. The shape of B2 bellcranks is a little bulkier than other types.

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis
If you have an idea of how you want it positioned I might be able to 3D print you a mount that uses existing chassis holes. Since it's for an on-road application, perhaps a mini servo could be used as well. Maybe something as simple as a plate that attaches to the chassis, with new transverse holes...

Re: RC10 C stamp resto custom
Factory Works makes towers for different length shocks. You probably need the 0.89 Quadra front tower.

That is a 10T oval tower, for lowering a truck and using buggy (.56 and .71) shocks.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 6:21 pm 5DF83386-DCAE-4982-9E8D-1078E868DBCC.jpeg
Hey is that this tower Jeff ? Sorry I know the pic is a terrible angle….. it’s all I’ve got atm![]()
The Quadra tower looks like a shorter RPM tower.

Re: AE Hard anodised shock rebuild
Yes, the 3mm (#006) silicone o rings from other shocks work fine.
I have used 3mm shafts instead of the original 1/8" shafts a few times. I didn't have any problems but my cars aren't ran often.

Re: RC10 Goldpan ESC advice
The 1060 is a pretty good esc, nice and simple. But if you want to spend a little more, the 1080 is a huge upgrade. It has a higher current capacity and is programmable, with a ton of features.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Looks like they came as standard on the original release frog but have been changed slightly on the re releases, different springs and black top eyelet The new shocks have a similar look but are a complete different design. Some people don't like the re-re Frog shocks. I think that the springs are ...

Re: RC10 Goldpan ESC advice
Thanks. Read up on your gp build by the way- looked amazing! Did you ever get to the body? The thread left me hanging. I have six gold pan buggies and all have bodies, but I assume that you are referring to this one (from the "what did you do" thread). Screenshot_20230814_201302_Samsung I...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I know they changed the gearing from the frog to the blackfoot due to tire size so I plan to start counting teeth as soon as I can find an original blackfoot manual. They are easy to identify. Blackfoots used a one piece counter gear, while Frogs had a two piece. The Blackfoot should also have a mo...

Re: RC10 DS steering wander - won't return to center, not trim issue
He is using the original servo saver, bellcrank arrangement.
When they get janky, I glue them together and put a HD servo saver on the servo itself.
