Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Was digging through a junk box and found an old Wii power supply that had it's cord chewed up. I noticed that it had enough output to be usable. Screenshot_20230704_155051_Gallery.jpg So I fixed the cord and fitted it to a Traxxas RTR charger. Screenshot_20230704_155115_Gallery.jpg While it isn't an...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2023 ** - Winner - dinglem
My Futaba FXT. Mostly stock with a few small upgrades. It has Schumacher silicone nitride diff balls, Tamiya CVD's, turnbuckles, and upgraded servo saver. Swapped the rear tires for Schumacher VEE-2's. All Futaba electronics, per manual: R112 receiver, S148 servo, and MC 210 esc. I added a Pro-Trix ...

This Schumacher might be a good option for one like the diagram.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
After dealing with a (different) trash seller on Ebay, I finally got a Brat body for this one. One of my favorite sellers got a couple and I snatched one up. Even though he included the correct Brat mounts, I used the longer Blackfoot mounts to slightly raise the body. Since this one has truck wheel...

Re: Gold Pan Rear Tires
Hi All, What aftermarket tires (front and rear) will fit the original stock rims? I believe the Kyosho Sand Super tires will but want to confirm and see if any others fit. Thanks a bunch... I'm pretty sure that the old Mud Star tires fit. The new Sand Super tires from the re-re's are different. The...

Re: Horizon Hobby Buys Another...
They already have Losi, so it makes sense.
Let's be honest, Trinity doesn't have the following that they did back in the day.
And I'd rather see Horizon buy them than the name fade away.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Finished this Tamiya Stadium Blitzer. This one has a real Tamiya body and MCI decals. Except for the grill, I went with box art colors.

Re: Rc10 graphite front shock tower questions
Per the manual, they used the inner mounting hole of the control arms. That is basically the same as Andy's arms, which used short shocks. Team Cars and CE's used the outer holes and longer shocks. Using the inner holes (or Andy's arms) doesn't work well with longer shocks. However, I have used Andy...

Re: What factors led to the Ultima's win at the '87 Worlds?
Maybe it was these
I'm just wondering how I never noticed these before.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Was in the LHS yesterday. They had a JRX2, JRXT, Mini B-Pro, and a couple Mini T's.
I considered buying the JRXT, but I've barely run my JRX2.

Re: Painting associated shocks ?
Unless this is just going to sit on a shelf, re-anodizing is the only good option.
Standard bore springs already rub the shock bodies and the additional thickness of paint or coatings will only make it worse.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Did the paint and decals on my Frog/Brat project. I used metallic burgundy and backed it with metallic gunmetal, giving it a cranberry metal flake look. Very 80's. Screenshot_20230724_162815_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20230724_162840_Gallery.jpg The rest of it still needs a few things but this should mo...

Re: Traxxas sending cease and desist letters to aftermarket companies then backing off.
How a question or comment is worded will change how it is perceived. If you start with "I've broken this POS three times and this is junk", it'll be perceived as a rant. Unfortunately, the internet is full of whiney bitches. If you clearly state your problem or ask about what can or can't ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Stripped down and rebuilt three 6 gear transmissions. Had to hit up the junk box and do some mixing and matching, but all three are smooth now. The new outer hub should be here in a few days for the right one.
