Re: Hello Yall From Mississippi
well my wife said I had to stay cheap. I think I am gonna build me another gold pan for a 56 ford and do like what you are doing and use brushed and have fun with it. Those two things might not go well together. Unless you already have one, there will be nothing cheap about building a RC10 at the m...

Re: RC10T w Lipo? Brushless
You can upgrade the tx/Rx for £30 or dollars40 to 2.4ghz and not have to worry about crystals, interference or a 3foot aerial. But servo plugs would need trimming to fit the receiver. My choice would be put lipo at the bottom of the list unless your a speed freak. I found 2.4ghz has better range th...

Re: RC10B3 Dirt to Turf
For testing purposes, I might have just swapped some longer rod ends on the shocks. With the popularity of crawlers, there are lots of options. The common Du-Bro monster ends work pretty well on shocks. I am running the long eyelets on the shocks I couldn't tell from the pictures. I have some from ...

Re: Hello Yall From Mississippi
This picture is older. The 10T is now painted and I have another that needs a body. I have another gold pan that needs a body and wheels. I also have a Parma Spot Truck that needs a new body. In addition to those, I also have new Kyosho 2014 Beetle and Tamiya Comical Grasshopper kits waiting to be b...

Re: Old School A Stamp/6 gear resto
It looks to be in better shape than most of the junk that I buy.
I think that I mostly find old dirt oval cars that were driven by blind people, who never serviced anything.

Re: Old School A Stamp/6 gear resto
Are those the same blind people that are drilling out the chassis of the ones I buy? Yeah, thats them. In addition to the holes, they are usually twisted and bent so bad that they turn on their own. And disassembling the transmissions, shocks, and motors is always a surprise. I'd say that it'...

Re: Old School A Stamp/6 gear resto
Thanks! Yes its decent...shocks rough but i found new bodies/caps in my stash. The sway bar and 240s sealed the deal for me. Gonna restore that chassis but heading in a different direction, always wanted a trailing arm car so we'll see where it goes I have been eyeing the Factory Works kits myself....

Re: Posting images
I just do direct attachments.
There are some size limitations but that usually isn't a problem.

Re: Getting back in... rear hub carriers / CVDs
RC10 buggy carriers will work as well. They use a different bearing and the geometry is a little different. Regular dog bones and axles are probably the most readily available thing, not that they are cheap. The motor is a 15 turn double, or 15X2. Two strands of wire, wrapped fifteen times around ea...

Re: Tamiya DT-02 Battery "Conundrum"
Peak Racing makes a 2S that is the size of a traditional stick pack.

Re: Bandit performance potential
Thanks all. I think RCveteran pretty much nailed my mindset on this. I'm not a fan of modern Traxxas and how they market nor their lawsuit-happy ways, but the Bandit/Stampede/Rustler came from a time before all that. They just kept making them. Their durability, plentiful cheap parts and old school...

Re: Tires for 3-piece wheels
Factory Works rear hex adapters fit the 1/4" axles. There are a few options for the front. I believe that the Custom Works front conversion fits with few modifications. I also have a 10T that uses Traxxas parts. They also require some grinding. I only tried it because I had the parts laying aro...

Re: Another ebay rescue
Hopefully you don’t fall down the Restoration rabbit hole like I have and can keep it just a runner :D great start, looking forward to seeing the progress. Trust me, that isn't happening. Out of five RC10 buggies and four 10T's, only one of them is a "nice" car. And it isn't a restoration...

Re: Another ebay rescue
Okay.
All of the other ones that I have are dark grey. It must just be a batch thing, as I have ones from across several years.

Re: Another ebay rescue
Well, this is how it sits at the moment. I haven't bought anything for it, just cleaned what was there or dug through my spare junk. The transmission internals were perfect, I just cleaned and lubed everything. I found a 87T spur and some slipper parts as well. The truck came with dogbones and axles...
