Re: brushless upgrade

This should get you close. It's from the B5 manual but both have the same gear ratio transmission.

Re: Can a single tamiya spray paint cover the whole body?

Buggies shouldn't be a problem, but you will likely need a backing color.

All of the blue on this truck was a single Tamiya can, but it was backed in another color.

I modified an old gold pan to use with one of the Injora transmissions. For a basher, I don't have any complaints.

Re: Red or Blue pill Wich one you taking?

As they sit, I like the red.

If the blue was a bolder shade, I could be persuaded.

Re: Tamiya Blitzer Beetle - 2011 Reissue

Several upgrade ideas here. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=46479 One thing that I would definitely avoid is using the self tapping screws to attach the shocks to the towers. Drill through, tap to M3, and use longer machine screws. I run full length screws from the back of the towe...

I've still got my Hobbico and Kyosho chargers that I had in the 90's, including the boxes. I use the Hobbico to power my comm lathe.

Re: B4 front hex conversion using non-Associated parts

I know that original RC10, 10T, T2, and GT all had larger hinge pins than the B4. I think that the B2 and B3 had the larger ones as well.

GreenBar0n wrote: Tue Apr 02, 2024 5:54 pm Kyosho's are not $123 though, I've been trying to get a deal on the 2014 Kyosho Beetle, but $270 seems firm, everywhere.
I've got one, they are nice.

Are you a member at Amain? They do monthly discounts. Usually around $25 off an order that size.

Re: Tamiya Blitzer Beetle - 2011 Reissue

I'd also consider the Tamiya HD servo saver. The included one will get sloppy quickly.

I recommended the Tamiya model because it fits better than other types that I've tried.

Re: Tamiya Blitzer Beetle - 2011 Reissue

That servo must have a lot of top offset.

I have five Blitzers with that servo saver and all of them cleared.
