Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

Just came back to check and progress and it's looking good! I've been in the process of building a mid-motor Rustler for a couple of years and your builds have been gold. I am currently trying to cast my transmission cases so I will have to come back and let you know how it goes to see if that's any...

Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

Pretty car. Nicely built. I like how everything fits under the body all stock like. 8)

Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

Of course you didn't break anything, you're doing a quality job racing out there! It takes some whacks to break stuff.

Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

I took the Bandit out racing again this past Friday and this time nothing broke! I was able to run the car the entire night in the mod 2wd class and it drove really well. I managed to record the main by strapping a phone to my head - I'm sure I looked silly but the video came out great! EfJy_aDSuf0...

Traxxas Bandit indoor clay race build

So, inspired by MXACRES on YouTube I’m building a Bandit from the ground up because I figure if I bought the buggy whole, I’d wind up replacing everything eventually, so why not just build it from the ground up with good parts to begin with(?). Starting with the front end parts on order so far: Chas...

Re: Traxxas Bandit indoor clay race build

Really? I didn't know this. I always though the ae front axles weren't long enough to use with the traxxas steering blocks. If they work I'll have to get a set for mine because so far the front axles are the worst part of my build, lol. Yessir, check out this thread for details. I had to shim it ou...

Re: Traxxas Bandit indoor clay race build

Took the B6 body to the LHS to test fit on a Bandit, and it did not fit. I don't know how MXAcres was able to get one to fit on his. Looks like I'm getting a new body for it then, which is fine. Make rear cab great again. I was around when the transition to forward cab became all the rage with the P...

Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

That's pretty awesome that it's so competitive. I will probably get attacked for this, but I think most of what makes a car good is the weight distribution. That's assuming that you can adjust your suspension to suit your needs.

When are you going to share your super secret diff recipe?

Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

Cool Diff tweak ! 👍

Maybe slipper clutch pad material might work better than cardboard.

Do you have the Traxxas Pro ball Diff ?

Side by side with a B4 +8. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rctech.net-vbulletin/2000x2000/80-img_0342_f9bff1d176da0548db0ba10ff3f6deb244eb2c0e.jpeg The Bandito has about a 4mm longer wheelbase. Pretty much done. Just waiting on the driveshafts and transmission to be delivered. Bought the black gear...
