Re: RC10 Worlds Car rerelease collectibility (rapid rise)

The World's re-re that recently sold for $2400 did in fact sell, but then the buyer realized that it was not a 1994 6037 original and requested a refund. Seller then relisted it again at $2400. The current price is around $800 which is still crazy, but people pay it so it is what it is.

Re: Tamiya Top Force build in 2022

Ball bearings a must but I would never use loctite around any bearings as even a small amount will risk seizing them. I’d just leave it alone as is - especially as your build will sit on the shelf.

OAKLEY display solution

I have been looking for a safer way to store and display a few of my builds and have had a sneaky search for Oakley display cabinets going on in the background for a while now. We have three young kids, two of which are under 5 so they do tend to play with my RC cars like ''toys'' when they get thei...

Re: Tamiya Top Force build in 2022

Very nice Top Force. I also heat my screws up with a lighter to prevent cracking the plastic. The front gearbox seems to often have cracking issues where the bottom cover screws on in hard use/competition. I feel part of this is due to the front cover also serving as the lower suspension arm mount a...

Re: 1/8th scale RC10 project

I think it's a cool idea, there have been RC10T to Buggy conversions that bring it close to 1:8 scale from the buggy perspective.

I am actually thinking of making one myself based off a RC10GT electric conversion. I think it wuld be cool to get a 1:8 scale 2WD class going.

Re: 1/8th scale RC10 project

Fred and Morten have been working on this 1/5 for a few years now. 1:8 would be cool as well.

JConcepts BJ4WE-2005 IFMAR 4wd Worlds Replica

Here's a few shots of my brand new build JConcepts BJ4WE 2005 IFMAR 4wd World Championship replica of Ryan Cavalieri's winning car. Massive thank you to Larry Doe for all of his help with this! As this ultimately became the Team Associated B44, I thought it made sense to post this in the RC10 Buggy ...

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

Love this thing. But, lol, true vintage Team Losi fans should be able find all the flaws in there just about straight copy of the original JRX2. Flaws that they copied from the original. They improved it by adding slipper but didn't fix other flaws. How many can you find? Also the whole set of prod...

Project Hyper Hornet

I've always liked the Hornet, but it has a lot of limitations. It needs more capability to back up the Anytime Baby! attitude. I've been looking for a good condition runner to experiment on, but then a nicely modified shelfer came my way at a "cheaper than a beater" price . That'll do. 😁 ....

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

Great idea for a thread, and a really cool esc you have!

The LRP ICS and black Novak Cyclone are 2 of my favorites.

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

This was one of my favorites, hardly any information out there about them.

I could be wrong but from memory it was the smallest ESC of the time and pre-dates the Novak Atom.

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

I'm kinda partial to my Futaba MC-109. Mainly because they aren't really common.
