Re: RC10 Front-wheel drive buggy concept (brainstorming)
Amain Bullet had the Maxxum beat by a year and was very competitive locally. This was why front wheel drive was made to run with 4wd. Here is your front wheel drive rc10

Re: Anyone Have Some Sanyo (red) SCR NiCads Sitting Around?
I was sticking with the red Cadnicas on this one because I thought red with black text would be easier to work with for some reason, but was failing to find a covering that I really liked that I could put a sticker on, and nothing printable was working at all. Then I ran across these on a search for...

Re: RC10 front-wheel drive buggy concept reimagined in 2023
The engine in front allows more forward weight and simplifies the steering set up since you don't have to pass any bellcranks/links under the motor. A mid motor set up like the Bullet or Maxxum would need to raise the motor, and that raises the center of gravity. Or, an alternative to raising the mo...

Re: RC10 front-wheel drive buggy concept reimagined in 2023
I've been thinking of an SG Coyote based FF design with the motor mounted forward of the centre line but still mid ish .

Re: RC10 front-wheel drive buggy concept reimagined in 2023
I've been thinking of an SG Coyote based FF design with the motor mounted forward of the centre line but still mid ish . I have thought about doing the same thing! The symmetrical design of the chassis would make it easy. There’s just enough room around the spur gear area to mount the steering with...

Re: RC10 front-wheel drive buggy concept reimagined in 2023
My understanding is that the trailing arm set up on cars like the Ryuz buggy, and that Orb was to counteract the understeer characteristics of fwd set-ups with the oversteer characteristics of trailing arms. On modern high-bite carpet tracks trailing arms might not be as necessary. I've often read i...

OG Ebay find
Just arrived. Nicer than I even hoped. I'm chasing a childhood want that I never got then.
Got a few others on the way to make runners out of. I'm scared to even take this one apart

Re: Project Hyper Hornet
I think I've hit on a design that will work. I've also reversed the top shaft direction since the gearbox is flipped around. . PXL_20230108_022946111.jpg . It's coming together well. The CVDs have good smooth range of motion and the shocks are smooth, although the springs seem too stiff. . PXL_20230...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
My favourite would have to be the Tekin 411P, my first ‘real’ esc that went straight into my RC10T helping me establish dominance with the neighbourhood dogs :) Grabbed this one years ago, been sitting in a pile but perhaps it is time for me to clean it up and make an attempt to learn how to replace...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
I'm surprised nobody has listed the Novak Cyclone It's not my favourite... :P Same here. I have one, and its a cool esc. But far from being a favorite. I like older electronics, and I have several older Novak, Tekin, Futaba, and Astro-Craft pieces. But once they got buttons instead of potentiometer...
