Re: Do you have RC in your office or office shelves?
I did. I worked in a one bay shop and over one of the work benches, I kept my little display of stuff in a glass front, metal case that was on the wall. I really enjoyed gazing upon the little gems in the case just above all the filth and chaos on the bench. It was the only thing I kept really clean...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2022 ** - Winner - Kedal
RC10 E-GT conversion. Picked up a cheap slider and mostly used stuff that was laying around to finish it. Ed (Frankentruck) hooked me up with a 3D battery tray and chassis plug. Truck is fairly basic, with a Dynotech motor plate. I used some ECX shocks (AE springs) that were removed from my Torment....

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2022 ** - Winner - Kedal
My only dogfighter. It is a runner and has been used at the iconic rc revival. I have some foams and plan on running it as a touring car over winter. It was built on a budget and is a poor man's yz10. I have to be the only teenager with a yz10.

Just a relatively basic pan car build. Chassis is a Bolink Round Tracker. Little tribute to Awesome Bill!

Re: Innovative attempts to create rear toe-in or kick-up in RC?
The plastic is so soft on Tamiya cars that you should be able to heat the carriers with a hair dryer and tweak them.
Anymore, just have someone 3D print new ones at whatever angle you want.

Re: Innovative attempts to create rear toe-in or kick-up in RC?
Funny how this topic came up right now.
This is the link to my SG Coyote improvement thread. Have a look at page two to see how I went about adding toe in and anti-squat to the rear and kick up on the front.

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
You won an off-road race with an on-road car? Please provide more details about that crazy story. Even with decent tires, that would seem to be BIG handicap! The track was an indoor, hardpack track...not blue groove but hard. At that time, the sedan tire wars had not started and at the parking lot ...

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
There was a video on here, I think last year, of someone racing a VTA touring car on an indoor off-road track. It was awesome!

Re: Innovative attempts to create rear toe-in or kick-up in RC?
Considering the cars you brought up, the Vanquish and Egress, I had similar questions in my youth. The Avante was supposed to be this highly adjustable car but in reality the effectiveness of those adjustments is questionable. Adapting Avante rear trailing arms to the Vanquish/Egress could provide a...

Re: Innovative attempts to create rear toe-in or kick-up in RC?
I was thinking that too. Keeping the original plastic, fixed trailing arm arrangement of the Egress would just require additional holes drilled to add some rear toe. It would great to see some 3D printed (metal preferably) Booth-style front arm mounts but these would cause issue when used on the re-...

My newest Ultima re-re (Tomahawk body)
Hi everyone, Kind of bored on Friday night. Thought I'd post a few pics of my latest Ultima build. It has a Tomahawk body. I painted this body up to be my runner . The body was purchased off ebay from someone parting out a kit and it was pre-cut version. As such, I don't love the cut lines behind th...

Stealth Slipper upgrade circa 2022
There are lots of threads on how upgrade and replace the slippers on stealth transmissions and this is just one more. I was just looking at some older threads and saw that many of the parts listed for conversions are now out of production. I though I would just do a quick update that shows where to ...
