Re: 2WD buggy from 2022 vs. 4WD buggy from 1992...who would win?
Coincidentally, I did this comparison back in 2017 or so just because it is what I had available  . I had a very good track with some very fast sections and also a lot of tight twisty bits. 16 turns in all IIRC. It was mostly short grass with dirt showing in the faster turns. I ran a KF2 (mid m...

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
I think the point made about "how uncompetitive" results from this experiment is most interesting to me as well. Give Ryan Maifield, Masami Hirosaka, a top local racer, and myself a bone stock Tamiya Grasshopper with a transponder. How different will our times be? Five seconds, three or l...

Duke Concepts YZ10
Picked up this very nice duke concepts yz10. Just needs cleaning and I need to make a new right side steering arm as this one was broke and glued. Trying to decide on pink or white wheels as well.

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
You could give a pro driver a crappy car and me a B7, it still wouldn't matter.
The only chance I'd have is by wrecking him as he lapped me. It might happen without me even trying.

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
The only chance I'd have is by wrecking him as he lapped me. It might happen without me even trying. That sounds like a strategy! The pro driver will be looking at me funny, saying something like "I don't know why he has that huge bumper and nerf bars". And I'll just be like "You wil...

Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment
[
I have this theory that lesser drivers would be more competitive with crappier cars and, that better cars, highlight better driving skills. Then, the race might be a lot closer between the drivers? Maybe...
I agree if the lesser drivers are still fairly decent. The pro would have ...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2022 ** - Winner - Kedal
I'm in too 😁 Here is my proto PHM 4wd, build few month ago. I used a yokomo yr4 m2 transmission, mounted as mid motor, and I build the other parts as the chassis, front arms and monoshock setup, rear suspension with trailing arms. I finally use yokomo drive shaft, wheels adapter, wheels and body (ho...

Re: Do you have RC in your office or office shelves?
Tastefully presented, so I would say it is fine for an office. It is probably a good conversation piece even for those who don't participate in the hobby. I have a similar setup in my home office, but that is also my hobby room, so...

Re: Do you have RC in your office or office shelves?
I can't display anything of value in my office. They outsourced the janitorial staff a few years ago. That first year, our dept Angel Tree donation Christmas gifts were stolen while everyone was out over Thanksgiving break.
