Re: Give a pro driver a crappy car experiment

Well I'm sure after a bit of feeling out the car and finding what it is and isn't capable of, the more experienced driver would smoke a less experienced driver (this "feeling out" would most likely occur within the first lap or so). Difficult to tease out exactly who would prevail in the a...

Re: Masami '92 JMRCA Rc10 Replica

2.5 year update.

Getting it prepped for the Vonats. Still have to glue up the tires I'll actually use and swap in the Reedy S+ 17.5. Number plates are in the works too.

Re: RC10 Edinger from Japan unboxing

That is a wide nose chassis, likely Composite Craft. Hot Trick offered a similar nose plate for aluminum tubs.

Re: RC10 Edinger from Japan unboxing

Very cool. Those shock towers are also CC, and I like the Touch of Class integrated into the rear for the motor connector.

Re: RC10 Edinger from Japan unboxing

If the trans is really smooth, someone probably took their time blueprinting the outdrives. They weren't bad, but the rework made them super smooth

My six gear transmissions are among the freest spinning that I own. However, their tolerances aren't nearly as tight as a Stealth. Doing the outd...

Re: 3D printing and Tamiya store in South Korea

I would take that back and ask for it to be made on the machine that made the breasts! Honestly, I make bad prints, and your part is really bad, even by my standards. If it is a strictly functional part and it isn't going to be seen, that is one thing, but if it is out there in any form, please have...

A friend's daughter taught English there until COVID. I can just imagine a bunch of Koreans speaking south Mississippi redneck.

Re: 3D printing and Tamiya store in South Korea

I also thought the print was rough compared to yours. The price was great, but the quality was something to be desired. I think they probably used the smaller machine on the part. I think it took 90 minutes to print. A smaller machine could actually help quality as many of the moving parts are smal...

Another 3D print project done

Figured being Labor Day weekend I would take a day off work and finally finish up my 3D printed AT-AT diorama I have been working on for about the past month or so. I scaled the print up 200% and printed it in about 26 different pieces so it's about 20" or so tall. Gonna have to build or buy an...

Re: Have you tried to REDUCE your RC collection?

Just my 2 cents...but I've found selling something you care a lot about to someone who loves/will love it just as much or even more than you always seems to bring me more joy than regret. For example, I had an old '78 280z I spent 4 years driving and fixing up years ago. Finally and with some regret...
