Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Had a little bit of spare time today so I took a fairly stock grasshopper I had kicking around and added some parts that I had been saving up. Aluminum wheels, bumper, steering arms, nerf bars, gearbox, gearbox hangers, oil shocks, and a copy of a cyclone front end. Also threw some hornet tires on i...

I'm with you Alex. I'm not self-employed, so I have to wait until 5:32 or so when I get home.Incredible_Serious wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 9:17 pm You guys suck![]()
I reckon they might not like it here in the office if I started at 2pm..... and my driving home at 5pm could be interesting....

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
They are a different length to each other.... The one you want is the 53141, slightly longer at 4 x 11.5mm, and standard on TL01s and Manta Rays https://tamiyabase.com/parts/1606-53141 The other is shorter at 4 x 10mm, and suits M01 / M02 Minis, TA03s, and a variety of other cars https://tamiyabase...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Finished this. Need to order another decal sheet to replace a couple stripe decals I jacked up. Last r/c body I painted was nearly 30 years ago. Not great, but I'm ok with it.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Machined up a special diff sleeve for the Navajo because it doesn't have one. DS.jpg I finally started building my backyard track last month. Just doing a bit each weekend as time allows. I've been shifting dirt with a wheelbarrow to make the berm. This is how much has been done so far. 3.jpg This a...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
ME: See, if I buy all of them, then I can keep the one I want and sell off the others for close to, if not more than what I paid for all of them, and I get the one I want. WIFE: You always say that, but you never actually sell any of them. ME: .............................. I have no legit rebuttal...

Go ahead, use that logic on her, I'm sure it will go well in your favor.  Ya see, I could go that route, but we have this little agreement where she spends her money on her stuff, and I spend my money on my stuff .................... and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that li...

Re: What your workstation looks like?
i have been busy since April designing, getting quotes, and overseeing the install of my workshop expansion. The original building was 14 x 30. The addition doubles it. I had to change out the breaker panel so it would have enough power for tools and HVAC. Driveway was expanded to accommodate extra ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Found a deal on a RC150 (Thanks GoMachV and Phin for the ID!!) that I thought was so good, it was worth taking a PTO day and a 6.5 hour total road trip for! I knew the seller had many other vehicles, but I wasn't sure what else that was up my alley, but walked away with good stuff. The RC150...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I had gotten an AE RC12 and finally decided to try to clean up the CF chassis. Started with the worst part, which wasn't really that bad. I used some Alclad II Aqua Clear as a "filler" in the scratches. Then sanded to 3000 and polished it. It isn't perfect but it is a whole lot better than...

Re: The 2WD buggy that handily beat the RC10 in 1987
Back in the mid to late 1980's, our local off-road track separated 2wd buggies into three classes; 540 (open to anything that wasn't an RC10, 27 turn, 6 cells), RC10 stock (27t, 6 cells), and RC10 modified (any motor, 7 cells). I wanted something to race in 540 so I bought an Ultima when they were f...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
After purchasing a few cars over the past couple of weeks, it was time for a trip to my ex-hobby shop owner to see if he had anything for the new cars. He didn't have anywhere near what I was hoping for, but a couple of things. I was hoping he had a couple of original AE 1:8 GTP bodies, and I knew h...
