Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

My 10T showed up today, still in the AE shipping box, unfortunately, it wasn’t packed tight, so could move up and down it, resulting in slight box damage, but I’m ok with it considering the savings I made. Top LH corner of box shows a bit of the damage https://tcphotos.net/images/2024/08/16/IMG_8232...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

😁

I haven't tried a Factory Works motor yet, but they use the same parts that seem to be industry standard now (including Radon 2) for brushed motors. The price is good, and the dyno and break-in are pretty cool too. The guy that sells them seems passable as an ok person too. 😂

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

are brushless motors still a thing in RC? LOL! Brushless is the standard in modern RC. You youngster's and all your "modern" stuff.   When I was running Clods NiCads were still a thing, I think it was Lipo that was just starting on the scene. I was out of RC by '0...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

I was out of RC by '05 or '08, somewhere in there. I got out of it about the same time. I was mostly into crawlers at that point; before there were actual crawler kits available. Outside of a couple of outrunners I had for crawler rigs, I had one brushless set up, and that was an early Novak system...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

So after 2 years these finally arrived. At least I don’t have to worry about breaking originals now.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

My dusty little oval track can't compete with that majestic sunset, but here it is anyway. I found this by accident. It is in a city park about 30 minutes away. It's not Whippoorwill, obviously, but pretty sweet for a free public area. The photo doesn't show it, but the corners are slightly banked. ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Long story short my old power supply from 2007 had non backlit meters, I always wanted to backlight them even from new. With my new dirt cheap charger needing a P/S I thought now's the time. Went to double check what resistor I needed and what happens? My multimeter prong slips and blows up the volt...
