Just a thought. Could you use 2x6 joist hangers all the way across the wall and delete the beam altogether? Assuming the ends of the sistered 2x6s are butted up against framing...? For the first half of the day today, I got the shingles on, and I am good with how all that turned out. One thing to keep in mind with this project is that the roof isn't visible from the ground, so as long as it's watertight, that's all that matters.

Got the electronics straightened out on the SRB. The Rx, MSC, and servos are from the original car, so nothing mint, just cleaned up a little. Rewired the MSC and new plugs. I think mechanically it just needs the front steering linkage to be complete.

There might be a cat in the box. Some Schrodinger guy can't find his.

I ended up with a Novak Ballistic motor shell in a parts lot, and then came across a 13.5 replacement stator, and then a replacement Novak rotor, and then.... .... .... ...so after staring at the parts in a corner for a while, it felt like it was time to assemble my first brushless motor rebuild. . ...
