Re: My Vintage Schumacher Daytona Project...
Well, that's night 1 in the bank.... Night1.jpg That ASSociated front end is fiddly as anything! Surprised I only lost one e-clip, with my sausage fingers.... Night1 Front End.jpg Night 2 will most likely involve adding the rear arms... I need to pull down my donor transmission and add all the 'good...

Re: My Vintage Schumacher Daytona Project...
Night 2 done... just installed the rear arms and hubs.

Will sort out the rear hub bearings and start disassembly of the donor trans tonight, so progress may get a little slow for a while....

Re: My Vintage Schumacher Daytona Project...
Night 3 was a quiet one, progress-wise... sorted out some more of the missing parts, and did some more work on the rear end. Night3.jpg It's been a while since I've put together Schumacher driveshafts from new parts (plastic parts and unis), and I've never done the Daytona shafts before... they're a...

Re: The dog thread
Sad day yesterday.... we had to say goodbye to our gorgeous Louie. Only 7 years old, but ravaged by Lymphoma. Still, he put on a brave face right to the end...
Fair thee well, Mr. Munchkin... our lives were better for having you in them. We'll see you again, one day.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Shame the manual doesn't include pictures of the parts sprues, or even a list of all the required sprues... guess I've just been spoiled by EVERY OTHER RC MANUFACTURER. Just think of it as a puzzle. A little workout for the brain. Something to slow you down so you don't build it in just a few hours...

Re: My Vintage Schumacher Daytona Project...
Quick couple of update photos, after having put the transmission together. Bearings in the layshaft, but still bushes on the ball diff - it was in nice, smooth condition, so I didn't feel like dismantling it to add bearings. Carbon fibre rear tower is a Bezerk reproduction.... they do good work! Rea...

Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....
So Associated said there wouldn't be any parts for the CC Straight from them https://www.associatedelectrics.com/news/latest_products/2796-new-parts-for-the-6004-rc10cc-classic-clear-kit/ I always assumed this meant the fragile clear plastic parts... pretty much to stop people from running their 10...
