I thought of mounting a small forward rocket that pushes back and is set off on a timer...basically a reverse thruster

Resized_20231018_070001.jpeg An internal investigation🔎 was launched after the crash....and the reason was discovered: The left/right and up/down stabilizer rods both broke half way thru the run....this is what centers and and angles the engine and keeps it stable....

That was a test run today with a 19lb engine, making sure it drove OK after it fell from the sky last run on the 44lb'er...unfortunately ride height was too low in the front and chassis caught the asphalt...no real damage...I have put on stiffer front springs and taller tires and am going for anothe...

44lbs of thrust right at the hit...it worked!

Yes, as R6cowboy mention, I-57 dragstrip is about 25 mins away...I can test it there when all winter when they are closed..I hope
