Re: Anyone know this esc?

PDI is the manufacturer. Those were the baddest of the bad speed controllers of the time, very capable. They made the Marine one as well as a few others. One was for truck pullers. You can probably dig through the rcca archives to see if they ever did a bench test on them.

Re: No-one talks about the 1/12th Fantom 4wd re-re???

Seems like nobody has discussed it as most didn't know about it, including myself. As a collector, I wonder how this will affect the originals value as the 1/12 Kyosho pan cars generally fetch a mint on eBay. Hopefully not much since original is still original. I'm happy to maybe get some new wheels...

Re: My XXT race truck is restored !

Awesome! I know I appreciate/value the shelf queens that were MY OWN racers back in the day more than the others, justifies spending more on them, right? LOL

Subaru Impreza rally car build

I’ve been making good progress on the Scooby during the virus lockdown. The car is basically finished, I’ve just a couple decals to fit onto the wing sideplates and to paint and install the side mirror. I’ll post pics when it’s finished. Meanwhile, I have the driver/navigator detail set Tamiya makes...

Re: Corrosion on shelf queens

Best thing to do is take them apart and glass bead blast them then coat them with a clear coat spray.

Losi XXX BK2 Build

I know this model is right on the edge of vintage, but it's Kinwald so it automatically gets a pass. I have been saving up cool and rare XXX parts for several years because I knew I would eventually build some sort of XXX car. I finally decided on a BK2. I thought it was fitting since I alread...

Re: Losi XXX BK2 Build

^ Thanks buddy! Moving to the back end I installed lovely Trinity hubs. The aluminum cvd drives are a little too long for the extended outdrives of the BK2 transmission. However I am going to make a few adjustments and hopefully they will work. I'm sure they are not optimal for performance, but shou...
