The other side ends in a metric axle. I will post a pic later. Wouldn't this pretty much so...

These will come in handy soon.
Those are CRP driveshafts for the Scorpion. Would kind of be a waste to use them on a WOIN RC10. :?

Re: Truly "universal" drive shafts

I found them in THIS LINK

I believe your best bet is to use original shaft an the cut the ball and joint off and use this top part.

Re: RC10 WC Stealth diff got loose

It was / is a brand new transmission.
I assembled it by purchasing all-new parts à la carte.

Re: RC10 WC Stealth diff got loose

My guess is with all new parts the diff wasn't broken in, so as the parts bedded in it loosened up. Also if you didn't pre compress the thrust spring a few times it could have lost some of its tension and loosened up as well.

Re: RC10 WC Stealth diff got loose

too many little things it could be to pinpoint exactly without looking at it. Off the cuff I'd say the primary failure would be the lock T nut or perhaps some dirt in the thrust causing friction enough to unwind the bolt. if the dog bone is fairly loose in the drives, I doubt it would be that unless...

Re: RC10 WC Stealth diff got loose

Come to think of it. The dog bone got out of whack once. That may have gotten one side spinning a lot more than the other.
I agree, too many little variables.

Re: Pinging

@Lonestar

Ah what the heck. I reinstalled it again as I know it was a popular feature. :) I had to tweak it a bit to make it work better but nevertheless it's back. All member groups can use it besides Regular Members.

Re: How reliable are vintage ESC

anything rated for 6-10 cells and modified motors should be pretty much fine running a reasonable brushed motor (13 turn at the lowest?). Lipo or Nimh, but you just need to realize that these older esc's were not rated to run for more than 6-8 minutes, so heat is the dominant killer, running longer ...

Re: More AE parts being discontinued

Likely the cost of supply chain and maintaining even small inventories was more costly than the few bucks they made selling the old stuff. Packaging, web page costs, storage costs, and on, it's not just a simple as they keep a few old RC10 parts around. Could just be a plain old accounting call and ...
