Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2019 ** - Winner - orangemazda

My older son's new build. He helped me build most of it. Think of it as a stealth CE set up like a re-release worlds car. Gold pan, custom blue anodized shocks. 17.5 brushless system. Salvaged original Mirage body that had the wrong type of paint on it. Not too bad, not too great for some running wi...

Re: What should I do with a RC10 World's Car?

if it's truly an original worlds car from the 1993-era and basically brand new, yes it will be worth more than an old beat up gold pan model. The re-release is not as easily available as it once was, so it's really your call. As of the end of 2018 into this year, lots of the parts have become discon...

Re: What should I do with a RC10 World's Car?

your best bet is put it on ebay and let it ride. You'll get your best price there. ALso, here if you decide to hang around check out some of these links...

My rerelease schumacher cat xls. Did some upgrades to it, such as the ball bearing steering assembly, inspired by the original Wasp racing. Also changed out all the piano wire pivot pins for screwed hinge pins. Really diggin the look of the Novak Electronics in this car. https://i.ibb.co/XjrfSjc/IMG...

Turbo Optima Mid - Restoration

Hi, new member here. I thought I'd share some photos and thoughts on restoring my old Turbo Optima Mid. It's taken a couple of months, and I've loved every minute of it :D So, my old Turbo Optima Mid was in a box gathering dust since the early 90's. https://i.imgur.com/hw88B94.jpg It had some old mo...

Re: Scr8p's Worlds Rere #7 / 2021 Vonats

Little update on this. Haven't had much r/c time lately, but here's where this one is at. Part re-ano'd in copper and threw some parts back on it, including my last set of Flashback R/C iridium towers. Still have to rebuild the diff and the shocks. Make up the new turnbuckles..... and some other thi...

Green Tub rc-10

This is a car I built a few years back out of stuff I had laying around. I recently bought a body from Andy Jacobson that seemed to be a good match.

Re: Painting , how long does it take you ?

Anyone use a hair dryer to help speed drying times? I saw a guy at a shop, whip up bodies real quick hitting them w/ a hair dryer. Not sure if it was coats of same color, backing, switching colors... but he was moving fast.

Re: Shock alternatives?

depends on your method of extraction and installation. Carefully done, there really is no reason for them to 'wear out'. if you consistently bend them past the yield point, maybe 3-4 times?
