Re: The dog thread

I was touring Facebook and Andy (yes, that Andy) posted this beautiful pup needed to be rescued. So I tortured over it (we havent had a pet in nearly 20 years) and went to pick her up. A lovely Husky (I think a little Malamute mixed in) with gorgeous crystal blue eyes. She hopped right into the back...

Re: Kyosho Inferno 10E build

So I finally got my Inferno10e running! Gonna post pictures soon. Bought a conversion kit for the 1:8 scale inferno and re drilled for the mounts. This allowed me to swap the center diff to a arrma kraton center diff that's sealed and has 100k oil in it. The conversion kit also allows me to avoid an...

Re: MRC MRX

Nice to see some french stuff here :D :D Cheers its a great looking car, however needs the body fitting correctly in my opinion as per these pics from the 1988 mag article check out how they set the body further back to give it a lower meaner look and don't use the front body mount I think it's bec...

Re: GV (Great Vigor) Hunter 1:8 4WD Nitro Buggy?

That's looking good. I really should put some time in mine again but as it will spend most of the time on a shelf it keeps falling lower on the priority list. Right at the top now is its kid brother: this 1/10 hybrid I'm preparing for a race at the end of february. 4235E261-4B29-4D08-A54D-AC53B4A1D...

SG Coyote improvements

I first saw an ad for the SG Coyote in January 1986 and thought it looked interesting. I then promptly forgot about it until 1988 when I read about John Schweitzer's modified two speed Coyote in Dirt and Track number four. I was thoroughly impressed and vowed that one day I would own one. Fast forwa...

Re: SG Coyote improvements

Thanks Gav, the post is rock solid now. All Coyotes are afflicted with the dreaded giant single wheel bearing disease, which allows massive amounts of wheel wobble and more as the bearing wears. Here's my solution. Machine double bearing holders from Acetal with a total width of 6.95mm. Instead of o...

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

I'm going to eat my words about declaring this build done and finished. I never did convert this truck to a buggy like I planned. Instead I bought a TLR 22 5.0 that popped up locally for really cheap so the Rustler gets to stick around for a while longer. Before I bought the 22 5.0 I was designing a...

Re: SG Coyote improvements

One of the worst things about the Coyote is the need to disassemble half the car to change a spur gear, this includes opening up the rear diff housing to access a single grub screw to slide the diff pinion off it's shaft allowing you to then get to the spur. This is my solution to the problem. In th...

The Delta Ray buggy

https://www.tcphotos.net/images/2022/05/22/IMG_20220521_130613607.md.jpg This car has started its life as my TA01 Lancia Delta Hf Integrale resto-mod project. Using a custom made TA02's chassis strechted to reach TA01 wheelbase and a twin gear diff set up I was planning to (quick) build a robust ca...

Re: SG Coyote improvements

Finally got the motor mount made. I still have to do a bit more machining to lighten it. I'm really happy with it.

Re: SG Coyote improvements

Coyotes have no front kick up, anti-squat or rear toe in from the factory. Washers can be added between the rear suspension pivot balls and bulkheads to add some kick up and anti-squat. That's how I built mine when I first assembled it. The lack of toe in on the rear was something that needed to be ...
