Re: Aristo-Craft Hitec Kangaroo
I've taken the gamble and just turned that 4mm hole into a 4mm slot. It sure freed up a lot. Let's see what else can be done to make this a little more usable... like stopping it from bottoming out on the shocks maybe. I had another look at the ad and it's in french so it's probably the importer to ...

Re: 4x4 ultima, for real this time! (update 30 march '08)
why did this thread stop before the car was finished? updates? Don't we all have such builds? It happens sometimes to me: I get stuck or realize a fundamental aspect in the car I can not solve in a proper way. Or another car comes along and looks way more promising in all of the weak areas of the o...

Re: The dog thread
Sorry to hear that Dadio. It's been almost 14 years since I started this treat and our dog is still with us. But the older she gets, the closer it comes and the more i dread the day she won't be. I tried to redo the photo on the first page: 13 years later and on a different continent but still our s...

Re: Ronin Marui Samurai runner build
I ran my dolphin for the first time at a vintage event last weekend. The drive train : super efficient and incredibly silent : the opposite of my expectations for a chain drive. Nothing got permanently damaged either but it popped out a front dogbone within 30 seconds from the start and a rear wheel...

Re: Ronin Marui Samurai runner build
I ran a falcon in the other heats of this class : 5 runs without even having to touch a single thing. It wasn't quiet a stock falcon of course but still did a much better job than my turbo ultima i ran in another class. Granted the ultima went faster but managed to drop out of the race nearly 5 out ...

Re: GV (Great Vigor) Hunter 1:8 4WD Nitro Buggy?
I bought into the whole 1/8th thing and got 2 buggies almost simultaneously both with the intention of making them electric. Also have an inferno ds which i converted years ago. As it happens all 3 of them originally use 19mm wheel hexes but none interchangeable. Got me some adapters to put 17mm whe...

Re: GV (Great Vigor) Hunter 1:8 4WD Nitro Buggy?
That's looking good. I really should put some time in mine again but as it will spend most of the time on a shelf it keeps falling lower on the priority list. Right at the top now is its kid brother: this 1/10 hybrid I'm preparing for a race at the end of february. 4235E261-4B29-4D08-A54D-AC53B4A1D1...

Re: Anyone Familiar With Hobby World Valiant II? (TRX-1 Clone)
This is my modified one in action earlier this month.
photocredit : Ralph Loch
I also have a variant of it: made by hobbyworld for multiplex. The one with an outrage inspired body.
Neither are clones of the trx-1 or kyosho triumph. There’s only very superficial similarities.

Re: Academy Wyvern, 23 Mar 2013, suspension update
I revised the suspension again: arms are finally upside down as i wanted from the get go. And , also finally, got rid of the black bakeliet chassis. An old trx1 chassis took its place. The saddle pack is gone and replaced by a shorty. It looks like I can fit the original shell and undertray after tr...

Re: MRC MRX
ah finally I understand why that original body was sitting so high onthe MRC I owned years ago.
That magazine really put in some effort to correct for the short body; look at how they cut out the rear to allow the shocks to pass through
