Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6 V2

Masked every thing but the windows and hood outlines and shot them black. Really happy with the nice crisp outlines. Then all the decals, which are all reverse decals, were masked including the "hood" area and the body was shot with Tamiya PS17. Overspray film is still on at this point. mm...

Alternative to 9608 blue spacer

Really haven't been able to find any Associated FT Rear Axle Wheel Spacers, at least reasonably. Yep, a 2mm washer will work but it isn't too pretty and doesn't have a taper to prevent rubbing the outer portion of the bearing. So I bought Durango TD714002 wheel cone spacers. $4 plus shipping. Way ch...

Re: RC10 FF

...Erin Loechner!? Yes I have to admit that i'm very pleased so far. Thank you, Chuck. My aim is to drive it. I know the design has some flaws. I just hope nothing major will break once on the track.. Nope, not Erin Lochner, just me. Waxing poetic. When you get to my age, as an old friend of mine wo...

Turbo Optima mid SE

Resurrecting what may be the worst, drug through the mud, rode hard put up wet, beaten, thrashed, trashed, bent and broken mid ever sold on the internet. Caked with what looks to be sugared clay baked into every nook and cranny that an rc car has. Broken parts were probably replaced but it looks as ...

Re: Turbo Optima mid (SE???)

Think I'm going to fall more in with Doug's camp on this one for now. Upgrades in the future, who knows? LeMans motors, probably not now either, but to stay somewhat true I do have a Kyosho Mega Motor that will do for now (believe it or not I do have a Kyosho motor    ). The diffs and...

Re: Turbo Optima mid (SE???)

Yep Chuck, cant wait to see progress on this one. PLEEEAASSE go box art when you do the body. And you will need the sway bars if u go SE paint. The turbo mid se was definelty one of my all time favorite cars. The platinums are the best shocks ever also, so classic. That mega motor will work for now...
