Re: Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide

Hi, I’m looking for some info on my motor. It has the same coloring/sticker (bright pink) as the Trinity nuclear assault, but it has a plastic end bell - all the info I can find via Google shows an aluminum end bell for the nuclear assault. I saw a mention that newer versions were plastic, but look...

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)

I had to do a double take on the Bud's 7315 pic. The signature brown carpet is always a giveaway. Not sure if carpet has anything to do with it. Was a reference pic found online of a nip. It's my motor. This Bud's for you. :) Buds_7315_mod-dyno-charger.JPG  Aaa got ya. Found it on worth ...

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)

Does anyone happen to know if any of the Revtech 27T motors had a silver can with the "REVTECH" label clear and hunter green? Not a green can. I swear my REVTECH stock motor was silver and hunter green, but I can't find any info on label colors for REVTECH. I assume each color was unique ...

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)

Wimpy pimarily used Air Supply teardowns. Stock were typically silver cans. If you want something different then TRD offers a whimsical selection of motors. TRD_.jpg these my friend are not any Air Supply tear downs by TRD I would know. As for the motor in question 👆🏻 Its made by Gonzo and is a tri...

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)

What exactly is a "tear down"? I can tell from the context that it basically means the same motor, but do they buy them plain and just slap their label on them, or is there more to it? Teardown motors were done from motor companies for years. Trinity used Kyosho for a bit over a year then...

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)

So back to the original question, does anyone know if Gonzo/Wimpy labeled made any green motors, or is it a mislabeled Green Machine 2? Oddly enough, I ran across a GM2 digging thru some motors yesterday. It would clean up pretty nice if the previous owner had put their capacitors on the other side...
