Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

I had this idea since a few months... https://i.imgur.com/UquoP0B.jpeg The Filaflex 60A is very difficult to print for this, and way too flexible for this. So this idea was put in the corner after the first attempt to print a tire halve (unsuccessful cause of some retractation issues, but enough to ...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Printed and assembled a new gearbox, made it fit together correctly this time. Got the new rear cage installed too. https://i.imgur.com/aupLlI8.jpg Those white PETG pipe joints are for the SRB chassis, but don't fit, or work with the Manx body rear mount. XLR8 designed this new rear mount that has t...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Was able to take the 1.5" SRB rear wheel file, and scale up to 1.7" using QIDI Studio (Orca Slicer). Made the inner plates, and the hubs for the rear 1.7" wheels. Tamiya part on the right, print on the left. https://i.imgur.com/d625PWj.jpg Hubs printed and painted. https://i.imgur.com...

The same way an ice Mustang and an EV mustang are related- by name
Hey. That's not fair.

The Mustang EV identifies as a Mustang. You just need to accept that and stop being so damned biased just because it was really born an Escort

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Well, those prints look great. There's nothing wrong with your printer. :) I've ordered some transparent PETG. I hear it can be tricky to print but hopefully I'm able to make some clear lenses. :| :) was very pleased it wasn't the printer that was off. Lubed all the moving parts today for the first...

Re: Team Associated RC10 2025 Metallic

Got mine today, cool kit!
The frame is indeed gold, and numbered!
Has new window frame decals, a nice touch as well.

Do all parts have the lighter gold color -- including shocks?
Believe all the aluminum parts are the new color. Shown compared to regular anodized shocks:

Re: What are your plans with your re-release RC10T?

I pre-ordered mine, but only recently got around to building it. I have the CC and 40th as well, but I assume no one wants to see pictures of box-art RC10s. Anyway, I went with a relatively mild brushless setup (10BL60 + 3650). team-associated-rc10t-chassis.jpg In fact, the ESC wiring sort-of inspir...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

It's that time of the year where my printers are used for something else than RC car parts... It's prints that I do for my wife and the poney club hosting my wife's poneys https://i.imgur.com/B7vCGhI.jpeg Each plate is 100 tick remover, and I printed already a few of them... Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit

I recently bought and built this Fan RC FR-01 Blue Version kit. I added the Fan RC forged carbon chassis, towers, transmission brace, and battery brace. I also added a Jconcepts motor plate. Besides the above upgrades, I built the kit basically stock. I swapped just a few pieces of hardware for alum...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

For a large first project, I went too big when I purchased this model, it was designed with a 313mm wheelbase, that's just over a foot in WB alone! https://i.imgur.com/32ZXQDe.jpg Scaled the WB to 250mm, or just under 10" to get it to fit on the plate. https://i.imgur.com/0b3WMQM.jpg Problem is...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Thanks for the model. :D I ran into similar orientation problems with the F-100 and ended up separating it into panels (doors, roof, back, cowl, fenders, etc.) and making custom supports for each part. It's a lot of work but it was the only way I've found to make acceptable prints and reduce fillin...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Looking forward to seeing the F-100 chromed out. This is your model with the scale engine block, that has the DC motor in it? That's an interesting idea to orient the Bus model vertically like that, and then split it, to keep the original size or scale of the 313mm WB. Nice! Would also like to figur...
